  1. I will report to you if there is within two days, my system is almost complete. [muhaha]
  2. Really? That's uncommon as it's still a fairly popular unit. The DR77 hasn't really gained much backing yet and the DR7 is a very cost effective preformer. You know, to think of it..I think that a few other e-tailers don't have them in stock anymore either. Wonder what's going on..
  3. Did they ever reply to you if they credited forums.minidisc.org?
  4. What do you think about this? Sharp SD-FX10 MD/CD/Tuner Boombox I fear the remote is in Japanese, though.
  5. Not a bad unit. A little feature restricted, but most likely will leave a good impression for those who are delving into Hi-MD. I myself would get a NH900 over this unit, but if your budget is absolutely limited to the NH700 then I'm sure you'll be fine if that's what you end up getting. What would your primary use of Hi-MD be?
  6. Hiya. Anyway, are you in the UK [your location tag says Jamaica]? If so, read this: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=5818
  7. Not too terribly slow. :rasp: I would actually suggest a USB thumbdrive in that sense, they're quite keen.
  8. Well, didn't take them long for Audiocubes to have these in stock after the release; one of the fastest turn around times I've seen from them, actually. On to the goods: [Sony MZ-NH900 World Tourist Model Hi-MD MiniDisc Recorder] As you can see, Audiocubes has made an error with the supplied picture. Do not worry - this unit does indeed come with a 3-line MC40ELK remote. I've already e-mailed them to assure they correct this error. There's also another strange twist; apparently in the description it lists the unit as having a magnesium body. This is a farce and AFAIK it's the same construction as all other NH900's. 9. Hey bud, welcome to the forums. Just head on over to connect.com and download Sonicstage from there. It has everything you need and would provide much better functionality than what you're seeking. Simple Burner 2.0 is also available in the NetMD forum.
  10. What? All in jest, of course.
  11. I'm splitting this new development into it's own seperate thread. Fantastic work guys, keep it up and keep us informed.
  12. Doesn't sound eloquent enough; what about "Daft superfluous semi-perfectionist hen". [/ends o/t] :rasp:
  13. People like you, overeditor, are the reason why I removed the "edited" tag alltogether.
  14. It's 30mW. Jeez, I can tell you and skyther have been talkin'. Whatever you end up doing, just don't leave us. :rasp:
  15. Welcome to the forums, Evil. Unfortunately, Kaotic's recommendation is a bit moot as the N10 takes a proprietary battery. If you suspect the battery is faulted, then I suggest you may want to seek a replacement. Perhaps you should look to our friend Audiocubes for such battery, or your local Sony parts center. btw - Definitely get the right power adapter!
  16. Thanks for the note, your input is very appreciated. So, Menu is the only feature that doesn't work? Are you 100% positive?
  17. I'm glad I waited to buy the MZ-NH900, because apparently there's a big regional difference to the tune of: more info Excellent news. Not only does this promise an upgraded firmware over the other NH900 models, but also guarentees this NH900 will have full 3-line capability with the supplied 40ELK remote, whereas plugging in such remote with other versions of the NH900 would only give you one line of display. Also, the same goes for the MZ-NH700: more info These Japan Edition units will come with Sonicstage 2.1. ..both units are "live" and available internationally @ one of our favorite e-tailers, Audiocubes. More info here: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?p...ighlight=#28273
  18. Hm, I don't know if I feel comfortable spending so much per disk - are you? [if so, let me generate an audiocubes link fer ya]. I'm sorta glad I'm sitting out for a little while until things mature with Hi-MD - at least to the point of common availability.
  19. The only reason I posted that link, friend, was so if you click on it and then purchase the unit, a small sum of the sale will benefit minidisc.org and the forums [with no extra expense to you], hence my adament reply. I think that you shall be fine with this unit; I don't see any issues with the power/etc..but then again I'm not really knowledgeable on such. Would there be a voltage difference for a DIN unit made in Japan compared to one available in your locale?
  20. Alleviate on this further? I'd love to hear more about such..
  21. I wouldn't be surprised if Sonicstage 2.2 or near future builds begin to offer this functionality. At least an improved eq and such, I imagine.
  22. Well, I bought the case [i know jadeclaw, I know..:rasp:], mobo, cpu, psu and a few other accessories. Should all get here either Saturday or next Monday. I'm pretty excited, as I've had to use a old 200mhz machine at home for the time being - a very frustrating experience! I shall be buying a graphics card next week..most likely a Radeon 9800pro 256mb/256mbit. If all goes well I may completely disappear off the the face of the 'net and submerge myself in RPG's and such 24-7. I'll be sure to post pics of all the new goodies.
  23. Welcome to the forums. You can upload your recorded tracks, though - in realtime. Just use the USB playback feature and then facilitate that playback/recording with a program such as TotalRecorder, Adobe Audition, or Audacity. This has been discussed a great deal lately and I recommend you search - it's not such a bad process! I'm not so sure if Sonicstage can break a CD player :wacky:, but then again I wouldn't be surprised. I would suggest you uninstall via the directions in the NetMD faq [found in the NetMD forum], and then install a fresh copy from connect-europe.com. Make sure you do exactly what the FAQ says first! Also, I recommend you may want to try Simple Burner 2. Search for it.
  24. Kenwood DPX-8030MD MP3/WMA/NetMD corresponding CD/MD receiver Well, before you do buy it, make sure you click on that link first. Do this right before you buy it!
  25. Welcome to the forums, Venezuela_guest. That's a damn nice DIN unit for a vehicle - I'd be worried about people stealing it! I'm not so sure about this model..I think you may want to e-mail audiocubes or submit an inquiry through their site. Please post back with their responses for future reference, and if you do decide to order please reply here so I can generate a link that will benefit minidisc.org with the transaction. It's definitely a stunner, though - I certainly wouldn't mind having it myself!
