If you uninstalled exactly how it prescribes in the NetMD faq [or that thread you linked], have all windows updates, a fresh battery/AC connection to unit, all files I prescribed in similiar situations then you're options are: Uninstall exactly how it prescribes in the NetMD faq [registry edits + uninstalling ALL related files as per the direcitons] and install iceeedtea's build of SS2, or try your luck on another computer. If you do try another computer don't install from connect.com, try iceeedtea's build.

So it still doesn't work? What errors are you getting now?

I cleaned up the code last night by comparing our files to stock phpbb files. In the process, I found some more leftover code from previous modifications that I had forgotten to uninstall. Unforunately whilst doing so, I accidentally deleted a critical line of code relevant to posting. All posting functions were disabled for a good twelve hours, but it is now 100% functional and I apologize for the error.

Have a Hi-MD question that doesn't need a thread? [part II]
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in Minidisc
Hi-MD units can play back any MD disc, given the disc is playable itself. -
I have never facilitated such a transfer [i have seen it in action, though], but I know well enough that it's been discussed quite a bit in this thread and many others [try search].

No digital in. I was completely wrong in my inital assessment about the card having a digital in. Suppose I was too excited, I guess. :rasp: There's plenty of cheap digital in [and expensive] cards, though..

Post 'em here.

Hello Paragon, thanks for registering and being a long time reader. I recommend before we start any troubleshooting, just to make the slate is clean, that you uninstall via the directions in the NetMD faq [registry edits and all], and install Sonicstage 2 only. Then we'll go from there..
-
Welcome to the forums. I have little experience with this method, but I do know that if you keep hitting dead ends or don't find a resolution, you may just want to uninstall everything via the directions in the NetMD faq and install Sonicstage 2 only. It's quite functional..

Hiya, and thanks for the report! I'm sure that our European friends will take this info with pride knowing that the wait is almost over. Too bad it wasn't me who was there, I would've assaulted those guys with questions and such..

Sony MDS-302: motor for loading-drive does not work
Christopher replied to Medra's topic in Software
Grüß dich! Not sure about this model, as it is a bit aged. We do feature the manuals for this unit here, along with other information: http://minidisc.org/part_Sony_MDS-302+S30.html -
I doubt it will be released here in the United States. You will most likely have to import it through an e-tailer when it debuts in July/August.

I love it when my moderators say this! I bet our casual readers must think we're all a bunch of loons. -

Well the units are already in their near final form so it'd be at least the second generation of Sony US Hi-MD units that would be hypothetically crippled. I'm safe with a US NH900 for now, but if indeed the black color variation(s) is only available in Europe then I won't get it [unless teamdigital snags NH900 variations available to Eurasia]. I really don't like silver units anymore, so that would mean I'd just wait for the other companies to throw down, or try the higher-end [NH3D, etc]. A blue unit would be keen, methinks.. Damnit, so now these are my final Hi-MD crossroads: NH900 [in non-silver], NH1 [for remote and bite my tounge about silver units], NH3D [blue] or another company. -

Very good find, jade. Submit it to the webmaster, md-webmaster at minidisc dot org. -
If you were to order from that site I would go with either the unit you've mentioned or the MZ-NF810. Either would compliment your needs quite well.

Ah, I see my error now.. You could also try an iPod with one of those Belkin attachments that can accept most of the popular consumer flash media that is on the market today.

I don't even know anymore myself, and I haven't had the time to really make a full summary. I know that iceeedtea's build seemingly has the best overall functionality and isn't as resource-intensive as the others [i've heard that comment from a few people], and seems to be preferred. Who knows. Want to be a tester for us?

Hi there, and welcome. I've heard some not-so-great things about this particular brand of MD blanks overall and it may be a disc issue itself. You don't experience this issue at all with the other [older] Memorex's, right?
-
Welcome. It would not be high-speed, but rather a 1:1 transfer. You could use any music playback program to facilitate the transfer since this device basically acts as a soundcard..this thing is very similiar to the Xitel DG-2 and etc.

No verification as to if they're crippled just yet, ya doomsayer! -
Welcome, jim. You can use the NH800 for this type of functionality..

Which is probably true, doc. After looking at Amazon's UK page and seeing the availability of the black NH900 [whereas NO US e-tailer has had it pictured], it may be that the UK gets the cream of the crop. I don't even know if Japan will see the NH900, at least not when they debut. -
I don't have alot of time at the moment, but I did a quick search and the answer may be in this thread: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=5105 If you don't have any success with what's in there, try searching. I know I've solved this issue before.
