Where'd you come from?

KK is amazing.... is it valid in Canada too? Regardless, the next time I'm in Calgary, I'm going to KK to get some donuts.

The Admin (Kurisu) has been using Win Xp 64 and reported that there aren't 64 bit drivers for sonicstage yet.

We seem to be getting a slew of Apple and HiMD/NetMD questions, so here is the word before you make a new post about SonicStage working with ANY Apple OS. It doesn't work By all means ask a few questions about the best way to work OSX with your MD player, but just to let you know, OSX isn't compatible with Sonicstage. Here is more reading: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=10163 and http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=9357 From news of Mac OSX HiMD players, there is HiMD compatibility with OSX now. However you still cannot upload or download music to or from regular HiMD or NetMD units. Thanks ya'll!!!

I have yet to see anything new about Sharp and HiMD, so it is anybody guess right now. I really hope this is something that Sharp is working on, as many people on this forum, as well as the other MD forum are waiting for Sharp to release a unit before they jump on the bandwagon.

FM signal could be altered by a number of things. Since the waves can be altered by things like microwaves and other below-visible spectrum waves, your cellphone may have something to do with it. Especially if you have a really old one that is barely more than a radio itself. You may have to do some googling to figure out your problem as I'm unsure of the MD board's ability to answer such a question. Good luck though!

If you subscribe to that 14.99/month napster thing, then you may be out of luck concerning burning to anything, since the .wmas stop working if you don't keep your account up to date. However, you may be able to transfer the tracks you paid .79 (or whatever) for to your HiMD player just as a wma, or if you burnt it to a CD then transfered it to MD through SS. That'd be my guess, unless you just analoged it through your sound card to your recorder.

Mine tend to squeek from time to time, probably from wearing outside in the cold, cold canadian weather. But these are pretty nice headphones wot wot.

Toc Cloning On Sharp Mt-77 Or Dr7 Or Dr-480
Bananatree replied to wlexxx's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
To be able to clone the TOC, you have to be able to edit the TOC, then remove the power before the unit has a chance to write the TOC. There is a how-to with the MT-15 over at the main page of Minidisc.org.... I'll link you http://minidisc.org/conner/MD-MT15_TOC_cloning.htm Here you go. -
Whenever working with technology you have to expect this to happen from time to time. It's a real drag, but Sony's files are too jumbled up in DRM for us to go in and clone a TOC or anything like that.
-
I thought that sounded really cheap... I just wanted to make sure.
-
Glad I own legitimate albums......? Haha, hopefully this gets around and protests and possible boycotts by consumers will tell intel that DRM is not something they want.

So HiMDs are 11.99 for 3 clear blue 1GB discs in Canada??

There are numerous post about this in the software forum, I suggest searching it and doing some FAQ reading if you haven't already done so. Thanks for choosing MDCF

Hey guys, we don't have a thread to post our Mixtapes. So here is one so I can post my most recent goldmine of music. Is this Love - Bob Marley and the Wailers Orgullecida - Buena Vista Social Club Italian Leather Sofa - Cake Surf Wax America - Weezer Michael Franz - Ferdinand Germany to Germany - Ratatat Seventeen - Ladytron It's Summertime - The Flaming Lips In cairo - Hot Hot Heat The District Sleeps Alone Tonight - The Postal Service Sometimes - My Bloody Valentine Title: UltraViolet Sound (For my Summer) About: Mostly just a CD I made that chronicles an average day of music, starting in the firey sun of mid-afternoon, into late night chilling and forum posting. So I want so see some of your creations, especially if they have a story behind them.

I moved your Topic to the Software forum, as this is an issue regarding Minidisc software. I cannot help you directly, however I suggest a search of this Sub-forum if you have not already done so. Thanks for choosing MDCF

For MD purposes, FLAC is nice for downloading lossless (and not to mention Gapless) copies of Concerts. Dubbing out from your soundcard either digital or analog. It makes for a pretty good time, since you can download large amounts of files in torrents all nice and lined up. Player support could be a lot better as only one commercially available HDD player has the capability of playing FLAC files natively. (Rio Karma)

There would be some work in getting a Mac OSX program to run automatically at 3 pm every sunday for me. I don't have the money to buy Audio HiJack pro.
-
I guess I COULD do that.... if I had an idea of how to do that, or the time to do it.... any volunteers for the official archivist of Lbs.com?
-
No go on the podcast, that'd be too much work. Realtime uploading on my iBook isn't even possible without an external soundcard and I'd also need a portable MD recorder.

It'll be every Sunday rain or shine 3:00 PM Mountain Time till 4:30 Mountain Time! It's bee going great, and it is really fun.
-
I'd think it was a bunch of Jpop/rock artists playing songs about/inspired by the wonderful gadget. Music to bop your head on the subway to!
-
Probably any recorder bearing the HiMD logo and having a "mic-in" port. The Nh700, nh900 and NH1 all have them, as well the newer RH910 and the RH10 have the ability to record from a microphone and upload it to the computer.

This popped up a little while ago, people thinking it was a new unit, and it is just as Atrain said it was. An album somehow dedicated to the Walkman.
