you can there is a "sonicstage backup tool" that requires an equal amount of free space on the hard drive as the library. goto 'tools' -> 'back up my library'

the sony 8x8 series had the graphs but if i recall correctly they didn't have much detail on the axis, creating a pretty picture, not a statement proved through plotted points. i have always doubted if most phones can even get close to reproducing the stated freq.s - i mean who'd know? my theory is it's like a speedo on a car, how many entry level hatchbacks do you see hitting 240kms/hour on the street?

i think you'll find the m10/00 can play nice with a PC too

this happensd to me sometimes. do you have more than one cd/dvd drive? i just click on say f: then back to g: [where g: is the drive not responding]. if you don't have two physical drives find a free copy of daemon tools & create a virtual drive, you don't need to mount anything in it, just make sure there are more drop down options in the import cd screen

just out of interest when install or running other programs from the cd drive do you ever get slowdowns or errors?

all you need to do for commercial cds is be connected to the internet, CDDB takes care of the rest. for your personal recordings it should be stored in the local cddb database.

in answer to your first post that machine is fairly old technology & i don't think it even uses mdlp, let alone HiMD. professional level md stuff didn't use/ignored the checkout & one way roadblocks on personal md. so yes it'd tranfer at 292kbs SP without the drm crap. expensive for that though.
