  1. Man that sucks! I just saw the pictures posted on Page 1... that is shit! I recon this http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=10645&hl=VAIO, would have sold pretty well in Australia!
  2. Ahahh k. I will be going overseas for 6 weeks in November, so I will create a new thread soon, asking everyone where they suggest I go to purchase electronics and so on And other stuff
  3. I'd have to find a good reason to buy 1, so my parents don't recon I am wasting my money I am going to Singapore in Decemeber... just in the airport.. might see if there are any there...
  4. Well... I went to a Sony Central shop Chatswood - Sydney today, and asked a sales rep if they knew anything about "2nd Generation Hi-MD Units?" and the guy looked at me as if I had no idea what I was talking about. He goes.. are those the MD's on Japanese sites or something? And I go yeh... they are the latest MD's out in Eurpoe.. and he goes yeh, a couple of customers have asked about them, but we have no idea what they are, or if they are coming to Australia :| WTF!?
  5. Went to Sony Central in Sydney, Australia today. This product has never been released in Australia. And it seems it will never be released because "there is no market for it" probably because they know the iPOD would slaughter it?
  6. Had at look at AudioCubes, Mdr-xd200 are $63 AUS$$, which is 20 cheaper than Sony... Thanks every very much for all your help! Much appreciated! I more question Is it better to have a lower or higher Sensitivity?? Sony xd200's have 102 (dB/mW), others like the Sennheiser PX100 have 114 dB(SPL)...? Thanks guys!
  7. Yeh went to Sony. They didn't have any of those series of headphones on display, so I wasn't able to try any! When I do go back, I will take my MD, to use as a music source, should I listen to a variety of music in the headphones to get a feel? Or just 1 song kind of thing? They had both 200 and 400 series... 200 was $80 and 400 were $150... I must say the 400 looked pretty huge... and $150... bit too much for headphones I recon I would most prob get the 200, but I then went into the city and found the 100's for $45... The 200's have 10-22,000 frequency, while the 100's have 12-22,000 frequency.. Would you recommend the 200 over the 100? $100 is my limit, so the 200 are financially fine for me... What do you all think? To atrain - I am a Sony member, so get 5% off... would you still recommend going to those web sites to have z look?
  8. Thanks very much. Going out in 5 mins to a Sony shop
  9. Yeh I get the same prob as Volta does sorry to say Chris... It seems to only occur when I do a Fast Reply though... if I do a Add Reply... it seems to add that reply pretty quickly compared to Fast Reply, where it can takes about 40-60 secs
  10. In all the headphone threads I have read in these forums, most of them talk about 'burning in' the headphones, if they are new. Is it necessary to do this to new headphones? If you say yes, then how would 1 go about it? Do you just play lost of different music through the headphones?
  11. Ahaha very nice! That is what I wanted to know! The only problem is I don't think this product has been brought out in Australia! I am still looking around for it! I have found 1 Aussie site saying that is has been discontinued
  12. I know the VAIO can't play back video's, but can it store them? Say I have a home video I want to show a friend, can I load any kind of file onto the VAIO and just store it on there, and then transfer it over to another pc?
  13. I want one now! Can you put movies/videos etc onto it? And do you have to have SS to transfer the song/movies off the Vaio onto other pc's?
  14. You say it supports - WMA, WAV, Mp3, ATRAC3 and ATRAC3+.. can it actually play back mp3 files? or does all music have to be transfered to the atrac format before being played? I recon this model looks really nice and neat!
  15. Man that is awesome! I would love 1 of those! How much did you buy it for? Is it a new product? Can it store just music? or anything up to 40gb, but only play back music?
  16. Ahaha yeh thanks mate! I will have to go to Sony and have a look at what they have, and what they suggest.
  17. They look awesome! I looked all over ebay Australia and US, and couldn't find anything! :| Would you recommend these headphones for every kind of music listening? Are there any smaller pairs of headphones which are just as good? As I don't think I'd be taking these to school Bit too obvious! And the 400's arn't even in Australia I think!
  18. Well they are pretty big ey ... so I dunno if I would wear something as big as the MDRXD200's... Are there any other brands that are really good quality wise? But not too big/cumberson? And just to make sure.. theses are the ones we're talking about right?[attachmentid=363]
  19. I am looking for some new headphones, and the very 1st review looks really good thanks Damage! I live in Australia, and on the Sony web site, I can only see the MDRXD100 and the MDRXD200, but nowhere has it said the 400... :| I would be using these headphones on my MZ-NH1 and PC, for all kinds of music, rock, brass band, classical, vocal, jazz... basically everything Do you think the MDRXD200 would do the job? Or would you suggest the 400's? On the other hand, would you recommend a completely different brand of headphones? Max budget is $100 AUS, which is about $77US dollars...
  20. What I ended up doing was I stuck my MD mic into the back of my PC, and then infront of my speakers. Get into Audition, then pressed record, played back the thing on my PC and Audition picked it all up... :S
  21. Oh ok! Does anyone know how to do this with Adobe Audition? :S
  22. So is there any way to record music on your PC, to the PC? I have the music writing program called Sibelius, and I have written a piece of music... I want to record that Music as .wav or .mp3, is there anyway I can get the computer to record what the PC is playing? What I did try, was plug my MD mic, into the MIC slot in my sound car, and then put the mic next to the PC speakers, and record it that way... but it was fuzzy sounding afterwards... Any ideas?? Got to get it done my tomorrow!
  23. Not eating anything at the moment, but I also LOVE Asian dishes! So nice!
