  1. Welcome to MDCF! You can manually remove "OpenMG Secure Module" from the WinXP Add/Remove Programs Tool by following the instructions outlined below: (provided by Microsoft). In addition to the above instruction, you may want to use RegCleaner to clean up any further registry entry that impedes your SonicStage 3.2 update. *this step is not necessary if you can remove "OpenMG Secure Module" successfully as outlined above. Upon removal of "OpenMD Secure Module," reboot and reinstall SonicStage 3.2 as suggested by member, A440. Good luck.
  2. Welcome to MDCF! Could you please provide more information about your system specifications? In addition, which SonicStage 3.2 installer did you employ? The web link or MDCF's full installer? If you tried the former, please try the latter --> click here. If the problem still persists, please report back and I will attach the OpenMG Secure Module separately within this thread.

  7. Welcome to MDCF! and thanks for the kind comments. I have yet to do a comparative picture for the NH1 and the E10. Check back later; I will find time this weekend for a photoshoot.
  8. I see. In that case, the answer to you initial query: SonicStage does not facilitate file transfer in such a manner.
  9. For generic MD case, you can get them from MiniDisc Access; and for the originals, you will need to check with eBay from time to time.
  10. Welcome to MDCF! I am not sure what would be the best solution to your woes especially when you've reinstall according to MDCF's guide; but you may want to review what other audio software you have installed in your system that may be in conflict with SonicStage 3.2. In addition, run a registry cleanup like RegCleaner; that may help as well. The reason why I outlined these steps specifically is because I helped a friend resolve a similar problem, but with WAV format. The culprit was a left over registry entry by VAIO Entertainment or Media module. Good luck.
  11. Yes, SonicStage 3.2 does have shuffle playback mode - the 1) shuffle and 2) shuffle+repeat. 1) shuffle - "Plays back in random order the tracks from an album, audio CD, or device/media. If you switch to this mode during playback of a My Library album, the tracks on that album are played back in random order." 2) shuffle+repeat - "Repeatedly plays back, in random order, all tracks from an album, audio CD, or device/media. If you switch to this mode during playback of a My Library album, all tracks in that album are played back repeatedly in random order."
  12. I'm glad to see BasicX back again. Thanks!
  13. Just updated my desktop; and I alternate between the following:
  14. I couldn't agree more; it's indispensable for gym use.
  15. Yes, you can utilize the VAIO Pocket as a removable media in a drag-and-drop manner via Windows Explorer.
  16. I've PictureGear Studio v.2.0 installed in my VAIO TR5B; and the installation module in total is over 100mb. If you really need it, drop me a pm.
  17. Sorry about that; should have forward you a link via pm. The thread has been moved to off topic where it should have been.

  19. Unfortunately, Microsoft AppLocale will only work with WinXP; and to make matters worse, SonicStage 3.x does not support unicode - that is why Microsoft AppLocale is important. Therefore, merely changing your Windows 2000's "Non-unicode program/locale setting" is not enough. You will need to have AppLocale once you installed SonicStage 3.x.
  20. To do this: go to Tools-->Options-->General--> uncheck "Run SonicStage automatically when an ATRAC Audio Device is connected" (within Automatic run section)
  21. Sony MD View – MD Data² – MD View is an extension of the MiniDisc that can be used as a removable medium to store movie clips and still pictures in Sony’s MD Discam digital camcorders. As with audio MiniDisc, the MD Discam allows the user to perform editing tasks similar to a standard MD Recorder. A user can delete, add titles and music with the details of the artists' name and track displayed on the LCD without having to resort to separate editing equipment. The MD View – MD Data² – has a capacity of 650MB rewritable memory, which translates to approximately 20 minutes of video, 4,500 still images in MPEG2 format and over four hours of recorded audio. *special thanks to Jacques for sharing his MD View disc with the community
  22. That's brilliant! I'm glad the part number I've provided works.
  23. Since you've tried other earphones/headphones, I would advise you to request for repair service.
  24. I don't think the defective buttons will impede performance of the NW-HD5 if the crack is light; but you should definitely get it repaired.
