  1. That's an affirmative.
  2. Welcome to the forum; and sorry for the delayed response. Instead of a UK-->US plug adaptor (since you would still need to get a 240-->100V transformer to properly convert the voltage), I think you should just go for a 100-240V AC Adaptor. You could easily obtain the 100-240V AC adaptor from a SonyStyle store (if there is one near your location), BestBuy or RadioShack. These stores will likely carry the Sony AC-E30A Worldwide 3V AC Adaptor; and it should cost about $19.99 to $24.99. If you can’t locate the Sony AC-E30A Worldwide 3V AC Adaptor, RadioShack should have a generic alternative. Specs of Sony AC-E30A Worldwide 3V AC Adaptor Input voltage: 100 - 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz Rated Output Voltage: DC 3.0 V Rated Output Current: 1,000 mA Power Consumption: 6.0 W Cord Length: 6 ft, 6 in
  3. pata2001 has provided the following registry edit for SonicStage 3.0/3.1 recently at T-Board. Follow the instruction below and run SonicStage 3.1 [Asia-Pacific version in your case] with Microsoft AppLocale. I can confirm it will work - kanji and kana characters will show as it should. --> Using regedit, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony Corporation\OpenMG\PD\{D887F25F-02A3-44D7-841F-583DD5231B5F} --> Then locate the entry called "AreaCode" with a value of 2 for US version. --> Change it to 40000 hexadecimal. That's the value on the Japanese install of SS. Thanks for the effort pata2001.
  4. No worries. Thanks for the clarification. Indeed, some functions will be unavailable.
  5. Yes, you can certainly employ the MC11EL with the N710. It should work fine. For further details, please refer to this Sony LCD Remote Guide.
  6. Welcome to MDCF! If you haven't read the Interview with the MZ-DH10P/R's Developer; click here. In addition, check out the second post of this thread for pictures taken with the DH10P/R. You will be pleasantly surprised - the picture quality is not bad at all considering its camera module is for recreational use. As for materials of the housing, the DH10P/R is reported to have metal housing. Check out this thread and do watch out for MDfreak's translated DH10P/R Dutch review.
  7. The RH10 [JE version]'s operation menu is by default in Japanese but you can change it to English.
  8. No significant problems with SonicStage at my end either.
  9. Nikkfurie / The A La Menthe. A brilliant mix used in the movie, Ocean's Twelve - specifically used in the scene where Nightfox dance through all the security lasers.
  10. Yes, unfortunately that is correct - the unit can't utilize its USB port whilst in its charging cradle/stand. Users of NetMD and 1st generation HiMD will definitely find this somewhat annoying. The rationale behind this issue is that USB connection with the PC itself charges and supplies power to the main unit. So, the charging cradle/stand was not designed to allow simultaneous charging and access to USB-->PC connection. I believe Sony engineers viewed this as inefficient and perhaps dangerous to have both outlet supplying power and charging the unit simultaneously while connected to the PC. In addition, the charging cradle/stand is only offered with the Japanese version of RH10 [other regions of RH10 does not come with the charging cradle/stand].
  11. Mein gott! We are witnessing this past few months an exponential growth of new users. A warm welcome to all new user!
  12. Currently listening to Moanin', Track 4, Disc 3 of Charles Mingus / Passions of a Man: The Complete Atlantic Recordings [1956-1961]. This track absolutely floored me; in addition, it is so powerful and addictive with a groove that just won't die.

  16. You can install SS3 in as many PC you desire - no limitations there. The error is likely due to the configuration of your second PC. Run a check and refer to the FAQ thread. Good luck.
  17. Yes, the MC40ELK works just fine with the RH10.
  18. Glad to hear you fancy collecting MD blanks. I am a collector myself and have amassed a substantial collection from past and present offerings - just to name a few, from brands like TDK, AXIA, JVC, Sony, Maxell, Saehan... I am planning to move some of my MiniDisc blanks/media gallery from T-Board to MDCF shortly. Keep a look out. Quality wise, most major MD blanks are almost identical; especially brands like TDK, AXIA, JVC and Sony. Among these, I love AXIA's packaging the most. Its MD case is among the best. Maxell, on other hand, employs plastic shutters whereas most producers used metal shutters. Now, one can question the viability of using plastic shutters; but I can assure you that Maxell's plastic shutters is almost as good as a metal one. No significant problem there.
  19. That's not too bad. It’s about 70usd more expensive than the Japanese street price of ¥ 33,000.
  20. Update: Special Edition NW-HD5. I believe it is only available from Mora - via lottery for those who spend more than ¥ 2000 of music purchase. Anyhow, enjoy the pictures: YUKI edition ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION edition
  21. Rest assured. The red unit is not a mock-up. It is only available for sale in Japan as a SonyStyle Japan Special Edition unit.
  22. That's odd. The Mp3 encoder of SonicStage 3.1 JE version is capped at 320kbps.
  23. Indeed, before the advent of Hi-MD, I record exclusively in SP mode optically or CD-->MD via Sharp's SD-NX10. To date, I have about 350 MDs in SP mode exclusively. So, there you go.
  24. I used to employ only SP recordings. However, I have now included both PCM and Hi-SP recordings as well.
