  1. Hello folks, I have been setting up my new Win XP Pro SP2 PC and now the time has arrived when I need to install and setup SonicStage. I have found and installed SS4.2. I tried to transfer one of my mp3s to a HiMD, using the method I have always used on all my other PCs. However with this attempt I got an error report. An error occurred while transferring. Transfers are not allowed. Oh dear me, what have I done wrong. I tried a search but failed to find the answer. Honest. What can you suggest, please. I am using a MZ NH1.
  2. Well thanks to both Avrin and A440, at last, after many hours trying to find 4.2, I am now able to set up my new Win XP Pro SP2 machine. Thank you guys
  3. Hello whatsleftofj, just an idea I came accrross a while ago was this: Tell them what they are NOT getting by not using a minidisc. Tell them the things they are missing out on, coz they do not use a mindisc. Tell them what will happen to them if they use something other than a mindisc. Do you get my drift? It's not so much why you should use a minidisc, but the pitfalls of NOT having a mindisc. It's not the benefits of a minidisc, but the dangers/downside/failings/pain they will experience by NOT using a minidisc. Just a thought
  4. Sorry kevinz4444, yer link don't work
  5. Me too..!! I used to do it a lot. I'd record a radio programme onto old style MD (not HiMD) and re-record tracks using a MD deck and MD portable player. No problem and sound quality remained good.

  18. >>>This is an old one that I think is worth repeating here>>> A philosophy professor stood before his class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly he picked up a large empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, rocks about 2" in diameter. He then asked the students if the jar was full? They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The students laughed. The professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. "Now," said the professor, "I want you to recognise that this is your life. The rocks are the important things - your family, your partner, your health, your children - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The >pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, your car. The sand is everything else, the small stuff. If you put the sand into the jar first, there is no room for the pebbles or the rocks. The same goes for your life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out dancing. There will always be time to go to work, clean the house, give a dinner party and fix the disposal. Take care of the rocks first - the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand." But then...a student then took the jar which the other students and the professor agreed was full, and proceeded to pour in a glass of beer. Of course the beer filled the remaining spaces within the jar making the jar truly full. The moral of this tale is: no matter how full your life is, there is always room for a BEER. Cheers
  19. I use FF1.0.7. Have done for a while. However I do not quite understand your question. I copy/pasted the following para and placed it in quotes using the blue quote icon. Is that what you cannot do?
