  1. Give it a go yourself with SOME of your collection. I have transfered some of my collection (*ahem* ) to minidisc, not ALL of it, just the stuff I want to carry around this week.
  2. ...hehe, you'll have gone and come back before I get to Cyprus. I am planning my music requirements now ready for the end of September..!!
  3. So clarify for me please The Low Volta, is it preferable to use SB as you say, or record - albeit in real time - from CD player optical out direct to minidisc (NH900 or NH1) Line In (Opt). I am about to fill up a box of HiMd 1GB's with stuff for my holiday (lounging around the pool) listening.
  4. Just a word to support jay - I got one of his homemade cmoys. Nicely made. Nicely packed and shipped (US to London) Thoroughly recommended
  5. I think it's a case of recording 'em separately. I use Total Recorder. Not a freebie, but not costly either.
  6. Hello Chomik, the best thing you can do is throw away those original Sony in-ear headphones. Get youself a decent set of headphones. They even sell 'em in Poland lol. Search the forums for advice. There are many good ones to consider, and you don't have to spend huge amounts of money .
  7. This thread is SUCH an interesting read. I've enjoyed it immensely. First again The Low Volta Well Done (and well written) And you too dex Otaku, I think your post are always worth reading. And this post is no exception. Your comment make me think. So I looked up this link which I found an interesting read. I can remember playing single sided records on my Gran's wind-up player in the fifties - and these records were made several years earlier. One was a Scottish recording called "John John put your trewsers on" - to be said with a Scottish accent as a kid it amused me. Any way Trebor, thanks for starting the thread (and thanks again for the interesting replies. ) As you said
  8. I use Fairdeal a lot. I think their prices are good.
  9. The Low Volta, you do explain things very well. You do have a most polite manner. I always like to read your posts. I learn so much from you. Keep it up The Low Volta, we all benefit from your words (professional nag ), not just the person who asks the question.
  10. Thanks 1kyle, that looks like a very good deal. Another very good UK supplier is Fairdeal. I use them alot )
  11. many thanks for all your advice and comments I know you won't admit it, but I think you are telling me something there kurisu
  12. Hello Kaotic, Hello bobt, I've never used simpleburner. I understood you got a better sound quality by using an optical lead and going direct from CD player to HiMD, without using sony software
  13. I have a new NH900 - aren't they good I have managed to do an optical recording from CD player direct to HiMD. Hooray! The mindisc is full of tracks. Wonderful. I am using SS 3.1 to tag the tracks manually. This is taking ages to key. Can this be done automatically by searching a database on the internet (Get CD info is greyed out for me )
  14. Hello kbade, hope you don't mind me saying that some of us got our brand new NH900's just recently for £69 - that's about USD127 - but I know that offer was only available to us in Britain. Hope you get a good price for your machine
  15. Well it's my bedtime now - I'll have a look in the morning - night night.
  16. Hello Sytronik, do you have unlimited supplies of these things?
  17. I use these: Creative TravelSound I think they give a very good sound for their small size.
  18. Sytronik, It would have been helpful if you said you weren't interested in the UK. I would not have wasted my time looking at a US ONLY offer
  19. Hello monoi, I have the senn PXC 250 and an NH900. And I agree with smkranz, the sound is adequate most of the time, it's just quite passages in noisey places that suffer.
  20. My habits are exactly the same as yours MZ-NH1
  21. the site doesn't work for me - every link takes me back to the main page And I couldn't see a branch down here in London. Make the most of your local deal Embio
