    I can dream

yes, but you can upload them to any other computer, so it is like drag and drop...
  2. Look at this thread (in french) all explanation you need are here (read all 3 pages) : http://www.mdfr.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=15710
  3. You'd better find the best price quote by yourself using Rakuten, the way I explained in this post: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showt...16490&st=15
  4. 1)The himd market would be larger if Sony had produced himd decks and car unit... 2)Anybody can make perfect digital copies with CDs yet!!
  5. With a conmputer you can 4x (PCM), up to 100x (48kbps) speed from CD to MD via USB!!
  6. didn't make any ABX test with the two units (And no time to make it now) The two units sound very close to each other. The 133 is in my living room, the 105FX in my bedroom.. Same connexions (exepted gold plated for 133) I think you will be happy with the 105FX
  7. For 1OO additional euros you have: 1) nicer design 2) Theorically better electronic quality (you can see gold platted connectors...) 3) Pratically listening , sound slightly deeper and refined on high-end system.
  8. Good work, Richyhu. Think it will help some Md lovers.
  9. Sorry, I didn't know Kakaku exists! Should I better use it? Shame on me, my englih is so bad! And I don't speak one word of dutch! Congratulation for you speaking french, you can translate if you have time!
  10. It is a post I made for MDFR (french Md forum) about how to order with pricejapan. When I have time , I will edit for Englih version (but I think french is easy for an italian! Voici ce que j'ai reçu : Thanks for inquiry. price of Onkyo MD-105FX; 28,140 Yen at http://www.rakuten.co.jp/masanios/596973/6.../617427/#658651 TRAVEL INVERTER price; 2550 Yen (28140 Yen + 2550 Yen + 4.2 kg EMS cost 8600 Yen + our minum fee 4000 yen) x shipping insurance 1.007 x 1.033 (paypal credit card fee) = 45,031 Yen If you want it, please send 45,031 Yen to our paypal account, info@pricejapan.com (it must be Yen-noted money) Thanks again. Kaneda www.pricejapan.com Your phone No. is required for shipping, as well as shipping address. After wire, as a confirmation, please send your shipping address and phone No. by ordinary email. (state name required.. Version anglaise / English version: Contrary to what has been said elsewhere the Onkyo decks are still on sale in Japan. In effect Pricejapan.com simply plays the role of intermediary (they take 5%) between Japanese retailers and the foreign consumer. There are several stages: 1) You look up – thanks to the links on their site – the best price for the product (using either rakuten.co.jp or kakaku.com – a kind of Japanese Kelkoo). Be careful to type only the model number without the manufacturer name; eg. MD-105FX; don't worry about the Japanese characters on the site; click on the link to the cheapest seller and once on the page copy the address from the address bar of your browser. (If using kakaku you can also copy the link of the summary page listing all the sellers). 2) If you are only ordering one product you can fill in the online form on the pricejapan site, but as you will also need a transformer, you must send them a mail in the same format. Here is the mail I sent to info@pricejapan.com a month ago for my last order (transformer + md-105fx) : 3) They will respond by email specifying the total price including shipping (but minus any possible customs fees payable on delivery) Here is what I recevied : 4) You pay the total amount in Yen or Euro via Paypal (or in USD / Yen if sending Paypal cash – see their site for full payment options) 5) Once you receive the payment confirmation mail from Paypal you send your exact shipping address and phone number to mail@pricejapan.com using the following layout : (copied from the online form) : Maker ONKYO Model No. MD-105FX Maker KASHIMURA Model No. TI-352 Payment Amount 45031 JPY (enter amount you paid) How to pay paypal with credit card (or other method used) First Name Jean-Yves Last Name XXXXXXXXX ZIP xxxxx Address 10 rue des xxxxx, XXXXXXXXXXXXX Country FRANCE Phone Number xxxxxxxxxx Mobile Phone xxxxxxxxxxx Email Address thingy@whatever.com 6) You receive an email from pricejapan confirming the payment sent and the despatch of the package via chronopost or equivalent (EMS / DHL) 7) You pay the customs taxes to the courier on delivery. The MD-133 model is the top of the range. I find it sounds slightly more refined and detailed. Here is a link (please check with the Japanese sites that there is not one available for less): http://item.rakuten.co.jp/audio/md133 Happy ordering !
  11. Sony could make prerecorded himd (pcm not compressed) ,if they wanted. Obviously it would have to be recorded not pressed like audio CD or old prerecorded Himd. But that is not a problem, because prerecorded tapes are real time recorded and are still sold. An industrial machine could record 100 himd discs at once, at 4x speed. So 400 prerecorded Himd / hour Blank Himd production cost is less than 2USD for Sony (there are 3USD (3.85 AUD) himd sold on the web (australian e-shop)) Sony could build the industrial machine for 10000USD (100 x 100 USD himd drive = 10000 USD ) During a working day, the machine would product around 10000 discs (24 hours x 400/hour) As for CD, packaging, carring is less than 4 USD/ disc. If prercorded was sold 20 USD, in one day of production, sony's profit would be: (10000 x 20) - (10 000x 2) - ( 10000x4) -10000 = 130 000 USD!! And the machine is paid! I 've more Than 150 prerecorded legacy MDs. Saddly, Sony Music never put their whole catalog in the format. It was compressed music and it was impossible to make lossless copy. (Yes you need to understand this Sony, BMG, universal, EMI ,etc : people still buy CD audio, not only for quality, packaging ,... , but also because they love offering digital copies to their friends!) I don't buy prerecorded audio CD any more(nor prerecorded Mds) because I ' have more than 250 audio CD, and I'm waiting for Prerecorded HiMD! Sony Music, if you want my money, just make prerecorded HIMD!!
  12. The third is audio video amplfier (Sony ES too! )
  13. Thank you for your help, richyhu. I just found only 4000 JPY (30 euros) overprice B8 vs B7. I think I will go for B8 (now I have to choose speakers black or white!)
  14. Two: MDS- JA 3ES (atrac SP 3.5) very good sounding with 2 microphone (L/R) input! MDS-JA20ES (atracSP 4.5 typeR) great great sound Listenning legacy md (like prerecorded) Onkyo doesn't totally reach JA20ES quality, but is quite close and far better than JB980 that I have eared. Listenning HIMD (PCM or hisp) Onkyo sounds better The ideal deck : Himd version of the 20 ES with microphones input! (and i will sell all the 3!)
  15. Rec timer! very cool! I think to by the X-N7 which is cheaper. Hope it has the rec timer too (the Onkyo page says sleep timer as for the X-B8...)
  16. [attachmentid=1916]105FX is half. 133 is 2/3 of regular size (midi)
  17. Richyhu, you own an onkyo Himd bookshelf, if I don't misundersand? Can you confirm the tuner is worlwide (76-108 mhz) and which model have you got? 3 new Onkyo Himd bookshelves appeared last month: X-N7UWX; X-N7X; X-N9X . Unfaithfully, Onkyo page says they are all only with japan tuner (76-90Mhz)... The Onkyo page say the X-N7 N9 B7 B8 have sleep timer. Is you unit equiped with rec timer. And with equalizer? Last question : do you know if Sony Cmt-AH10 is equipied with japan or worldwide tuner?
  18. Actually the sound is extremely good, play and record exactely the codec/bitrates richyhu said. (no Mp3) Sharp HiMd boomboxes??? Are you sure??
  19. For data, portable units do the job very well. A deck is the best for audiophile listenning. In this situation, data is not very important, I think.
  20. I've bought an Onkyo MD-133 and MD-105FX for 450 euros and 350 euros (including shipping, tension inverter (240V/100V), and customs fees), using pricejapan.com ( i live in France ).
  21. Just try recording Miles Davis "kind of Blue" in old SP : a lot of horrible artifacts on the trumpet. Try it with HiSP: the artifacts have totally disapear! Hisp >> SP !
  22. These days everybody can ripp original CD and make a copy, and Sony worries about prerecorded Md??? Has anybody try to upload a prerecorded MD with the RH1?
  23. none of my friend or my family members have 250 MB picture too...
  24. garcou

    RH-1 in Spain

Good news! Here in France still waiting for...
  25. I'm not a pro photographer (250 MB/ pic??!!!) All my jpeg photos are less than 1MB (and I find them just fine), and my work needs only word or powerpoint files (I' m afraid about how long I'd have to work to fill up 250 GB!!!)
