my question is: why is the DVD i am making/ copying from any sourse that is stereo; turning into mono; when i ttake the stereo out of the monitor out of the A/V mixer with a "Y" adaptor.? so thake thei sanerio: SP) 1. sending a music video into my DVD program via the A/V Mixer 2. taking audio from monitor out of A/V Miser to a MONO tv; so i "Y" the stereo out on the mixer to the mono in of the TV/Monitor 3. the resulting dvd/burn is mono i take "y" adaptor out and just run the "white/left" audio into the mono tv/monitor and the resulting dvd/burned is stereo. what does the monitor out have to do with the audio recorded into the Main mix?

i LOVE speed control just to speed up ALL the songs ;; and it puts "Life" in the songs; gives a blah day an energetic feeling; like "Let's get some work done"; or; a nap with zingo music.

i had bought one of those tiny ones with the special battery; it sucked; sent it back; a tisket and a tasket; a bigger in my basket; yes; i got the 9v bigger one and life was emasket; that is recording improved. i used roll-off a bit; but since i just about analogically re-mix everything i ever record; i can use my EQ to tweek the gasket.

if Sony would just start making just "White" units; and white this and white that; they would couble their sales in a jiffy; tiffy that though, and iffy that; i woulf bend. and yes; better EQ would be nice; RIce wouldn't mind.

well, one of my DJ'ing DECKS died last night;; i am down to 26 decks now. i will give a proper burrial Sunday. it really pisses me off; cause the job i DJ'd last nite made me DJ from a stair way; and the angle of my body to the DJ Coffin was extreme; and i couldn't get the MD cassettes into the units straight and proper. i was working with TWO Sony 510's (and two CD decks); so it was not a disaster to lose one.. i had a spare in the Van; left it there cause i was so pissed of climbing those sweakin steps to get my next songs. fweak fweak fweak fweak.... i am playing my last spare i own right now; a JE320; it is gonna take it's place in da coffin of musicality. lucky i am retired and don't give a s*it; fit is for the fitter and hit is for the hitter; hit , hat , hut but fear nut; i am finally getting over the rutt. i'm ok now!

thanks poe; i will look that DVD up and re-mix it for my wife and "X"'s. i could have doctored the audio up; but it wasn't worth it; she tries to be a Diva; but my "X's have it all over her. lol j/k when i copied Chere's DVD; i also rearranged the songs; i put the last song, "Believe" first; then all my favorites; and took out all the semi-comedy; left in Sonny; took out Chere's rants; left in the elephants and hi-wire acts. what was left was a good mix of her songs and less of her "I love myself" attitude.

that's ok; KI;; a lot happening here;; there will be me;; Tull Fan;; and SBG on the Rush project.. and,, Jacques, thanks for the names; gee, i had the DVD right in front of me; my bad; i am just bad with names; they just don't seem like what they are.. i see them with different names; like when you take a memory course in college; i associate them with things; but i am more polite and just rather forget their name. i'm back from DJ'ing and ready to resume my Rush Project *as soon as i have my "hot Chocholate".

moved here from "what have u been listening to" i (rayzray) concider this very inportant and very serious; yere ye here ye: i have just made a "trial run: of recording a Rush song/VIDEO off the Rush/R-30 DVD and,, in one of the beginning of the chord progression in Overture (track2 of the DVD) i (rayzrAY) have my CD-DJ cd turntabke looping the same chord progression from the ((((CD)))) track 1 i guess,, huh? so i play the Video with sound (up to) that progression;; and;; on the one beat of the next chord after the progression ; i press "Reloop" on the CD turntable and immediately "un-loop' the loop.. at the same time bringing down the DVD volume and now you hear only the CD audio. IT HAS BEEN PLAYING (IN-SYNC) FOR TWO SONGS NOW!!!! i have been watching the hands of the musiciaans;; and everyihing is in-sync;; and what's his name's lips too.. we are in track 4 of the dvd and still in-synd.. this is what i am listening to;; gee to bad i am not "capturing" it yet; it is perfect. this means i can have the "Better" cd audio instead of the overdriven DVD audio. ready for the project to all my project associates from both boards. i am ready to "Rock & Roll" well , into the next song;; and the snear drum is still hitting in sync; this is too easy. yeah, these are the things i listen to; now to practice adding video efx ; i.e. oceans; fire; and an occational penguin crossing the stage. lol. (late edit) oh and songs from RIR will be included; but maybe with it's own DVD audio. dio; mio,geeo. beeo.

gee; i reall enjoyed that article. and it's true. but, with Chere's DVD (Farewell Tour), a LOT of the songs START OFF with louder live audio, as she is coming from dialogue to singing; THEN, there is a noticable dip in volume; and i swear that she is in "millie Vanilli mode; yes; lip syncing and seems to be in mono now. it's really annoying; so much that i can't finish watching the DVD. it sucks; it rots; and as much as i admire HER; the fweaking disc is ruined. is it because the elephants on the stage are farting ,, or maybe trumpeting ther noses? or, you can hear the foreign aieal artist moaning as them twirl around the heights of the stage? WHY!!!!?? did they do this? all the time i put into re-mixing and re-tracking this DVD is for naught; raught; i'm sort of caught in a puddle or broth.?! or did i (*) in my pants! MAYBE is the (louder is better) syndrome; and they tried to correct it; but the engineers f***ed up. i wish there was a group of "Super Heros" out there that can fix this problem; like break into these audio engineering companies and tweek and fweak their gear; maybe bend their ?? ummmm ,oh, ears; clean the wax out of them too; and leave a fork as a calling card.

as a piano teacher (going to thier homes); i get to watch many moody students get off the school bus; and as i walk into the house with them; they fling their "back packs" onto and across the floor; then, later when we try to play along with one of their songs; they go to the back pack and pull out their i-pod that just was thrown and flung across the floor. lol's; i gave up warning them; i figure the parents will finally smarten up and get them an MD/Hi-MD. (end rant; in runt; outro; will go)

i like the FM shower radio thinggy myself; but; would crank up the main speakers in the house to get a feel for the bass. like once i had my 18" speakers in the cellar and put them on top of bureaus ??(sp) and pointed them up to the floor; and it was amazing the feel you got for being near the "stage".! yes; combine big speakers and a sholer radio w/a transmitter. do it right the first time; IMO.

ok; i have just made a decision (sp).. i am tired of hooking and un-hooking the usb cable to my Hi-MD on my fanny pack; or the one next to my bed to do some CD to Hi-MD transferring.. i hate this crap.. i wanna buy ANOTHER Hi-MD; i don't care which one; i just want to do my sh*t here and not be bothered. if this unit comes out in April , i will BUY it;; if it doesn't , i will get the R10 ;H10 or Z-10 what eva that unit is.. my whole theory in life is connect once and leave it alone; i hate sweakin unplugging wires; expecially "Which usb" wire/cable i have one coming out of the PC#! for the Hi-MD;; one for da Camcorder; and now a stupid cable for my Sima-SFX-9 Video Effects Mixer.. my PC table looks like an octapuss.. i WANT another hi-md unit;; and i want my "Mapo".. * and i am recording Cher DVD to PC#2; and the audio is beyond repair; i can't believe how bad the soundmen sweaking messed that DVD up; i cudd have recording it better with my Hi-MD900 and two hands tied behind my back;; and just use my tounge to control the unit with my remote*

but; if you saw theblueraja's pics on them; you would be impressed (even though i think he puts them on upsidedown)lol. you probably would want to try one or two; just for fun; and flaunt them in front of i-poders , as i do. anything they hate more is a pretty disc flashed in their face.

somewhat. that means my PC that should be able to handle it changed; something happened; perhaps i used up too much memory or Ram or rom or hard drive. to me, it used to burn 16x's; and now it won't. and yes;; i can see about the 48x CD; my mistake; but my problem is all the 200 16x DVD discs i bought that my PC won't burn. they will burn in my stand alone DVD Recorder' but i don't expect to burn 200 DVD on them. maybe i can make a cheap flick of myself doing something stupid and sell it; as in "clerks"; i think i could handle that.

i found it was easier to go out and buy those pictured stickers and cut them to size and add some rants in india ink. the "kitty" ones were my favorive but didn't bring out the masculinity in me. bring on the star wars stickers!

TBOT; so, as we discussed this matter before; if your External Drive will only record at 12x; then you can use the 16x discs; as i can only use the 8x and not the 16x's. right? so i have to always buy 8x disks; seems like a backwards type of thing. like the disk should recprd "Up-to" it's stated amont. today i saw sone Sony discs that look exactly like mine and were 48X's!!!! so, that means i could never use that; right? this pisses me off also; so even though i tell the drive to burn at 8x; it still won't burn a 16x disc? if we could have only stuck to cassettes fir the rest of our lives; and vever invented the computer or cell phone; i would be less pissed off and more in a joviant (sp) mood.

sorry for double posting; but this is important. i combined two different aftershave/calognes into one little plastic spray bottle; and it ate through the plastic! i have been using this every day; and now am feeling very energnic lately and a funny feeling face. do you think this is life threatening? (Time is of the essance) here. edit] oh; to be OT; if i could bottle this in a "AA" sized battey sized cylender (sp); do you think this could power an MD/Hi-MD portable? lol.

listening to Amberdelic Space II - Angel of Ecstasy - a 4 CD Box-set (without the box_!!!! really great electronic stuff; instrumental; lots of distorted guitar and sysths. and that's only disc one. if someone starts singing on disc two, twee and four; i am gonna smash them ,or, make ashtrays out of them! *can i do an occational double punk*?

we all know i am a "Dreamer'; so, what if i take a Hi-MD portable to my friend ; the "electronic guru/repairman/and Sony official repair station here in RI; and; have him wire the portable into an old MD-Deck case.. it probablye fould only cost about the casme as buying a new unit. is this "dreaming-2-Much"? should i just go back to my "Pirate boat by the Dashboard Light:?

i can vouch for it; theblueraja is the King of MD labels; he has inspired me to make my own for my really personal MD's.
