  1. does anyone remember a topic about a 110 min md that was specially made about 2-3 years ago by using all the spare space on the disk including titling space? people were cloning them and there was a warning that they would not work in every player? i also remember an 86 min md with a similar restrictions statment. also about 2-3 years ago.
  2. i can easily tell the difference between what you mean. the answer seems to me that you have no choice but to use atrac 352 and import it as wave and then transfer. i really miss old sp! it is awesome!
  3. i could even go for a good sounding deck with limited functions eg. no digital out. i just really need a deck. i have a standard md deck its a 510 a very old model.
  4. NO ONE HAS MENTIONED ANY CHANGES FOR OLD STYLE MD. can we download true sp through sonic stage? can we upload any recordings through usb on net md? please tell me the answer is yes!
  5. damn straight. sony. please please give us a real hi-md deck. if there was one. i would definitly buy it. i'm sure a lot of people are just waiting.
  6. can you pick the quality setting in ss 2.3??
  7. thanks. i will let you know. i will try it.
  8. has anyone tried this. mp3 seems better to me! i was very disappionted .ogg sounds a little little more flat and lifeless even before i converted it to atrac 256. i think atrac 256 sounds better than both of them. what do you guys think?
  9. i went home and tried it last night.it worked good. the files converted fine but i installed the bdpoweramp program and it made changes to my windows explorer to provide more info on the audio file when my mouse passes over it. it's very annoying can someone please tell me how to turn it off. i dont need all that extra file information.
  10. so the link you provided gives me a program that does decoding too?
  11. i know. i just want to listen to the songs on the player. thamks. i will try the link.

  13. i have been reading this forum for years and i remember discussion af a 110 min standard md. does anyone remember that? i swear there was a discussion on how they made it.
  14. i only record with optical. i would never buy any model without it. i likr to listen while i record, using a computer is very annoying. ****please stop posting in all capitals Ateletronics, post edited*********
  15. DUDE TRY TO SEE IF OE OF THE BUTTONS IS STUCK. I AM A ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN. THOSE KIND OF THINGS HAPPEN A LOT.
  16. dude your am antenna is in the back near the optical out. you either bumped it loose or broke a wire some how. they are somewhat fragile. check to make sure its hooked up still and positioned ok.
  17. DUDE . THAT HAPPENED TO ME. the ribon cable on the magnetic write head is cracked. dont ust the unit unless you cut tha cable which would make it aplayer only or. fix the cable or get a new one and replace it. so do you have any interest in selling it. i could use a player only. my original 707 also has a bad laser.
  18. that stinks! i didn't know that you couldnt even format it with windows explorer. what does windows say when you try?
  19. i was not sure if it would not play wma lossless. lots of players will not. i just noticed the usb port. the hi-md is supposed to be comlpient for a removable storage device. that should mean it can read any standard mp3 or wma files right off of the disk. we really need someone to try it and find out. yes you would need 2 copies of your music but for some people that might not be a big deal. i was thinking of buying one.
  20. THE TAPPING IS FROM SCRATCHES OR SOMETHING ELSE CAUSING SKIPPING ON YOUR CD DRIVE. THERE SHOULD BE A setting for your cd drive in widows, and a setting in sonic stage to enable error correction. turn them both on clean the disk and see what happens. it might take a lottle longe to read the cd.
  21. my mz-n510 sounds poor in the midrange. the unit works excellent, its not the headphones . its the output. i've hooked it up to several different stereos and headphoned. does it have a digital amp? the hi end and bass are very good.
