MAYBE THE PODCASTS HAVE CHANGED. YOU COULD CONVERT THEM TO WAVE FIRST THEN TRANSFER THEM.
-
didnt they say they couldnt make pre-recorded disks. i thought they couldnt be stamped but had to be recorded? that would take forever...
-
its the aoudio chips used for playback. i notice the difference between different md units. its easy to tell.
-
yea. sony better bring us a deck soon. why are they waiting so long. they only need to make 1 model as long as its a good one.
-
I AGREE COMPLETLY
-
i have had many md units i think it is broken. if you can return it and get another one.
-
dont use it for anything or you will erase more of your disks randomly. it happened to me before.
-
dont use anything lower quality than hi-sp you will be upset with the way it sounds.
-
Stay with MD. Even if they stopped making it there are literally hundreds of thousands of old and used ones available. MD is awesome!!!

MZ-NH700 won't play Hi-Sp discs recorded on MZ-RH1

see if you can play the disk through sonic stage. -
were you doing a edit and did the battery die?
-
i have had several md units never an hd player but i had 2 of the same unit and 1 of them always sounded a little off. i thought it was just me theni got a new one of the same type of unit and wow what a difference. the first unit obvoiusly had a problem. other people in this fourm a hav had this problewm with md units before. it might just be your specific unit has a lousy output... i know it might sound strange but it definitly was true in my case so anohter hd unit even of the same model might sound better.

i always use the highest rate i can. but i think recompressing at 352k instead of 256k is probabily a waste of space but using 256k would be a good idea if you want to preserve as much sound quality as possible.
-
i thought stamped pre recorded hi-md disks were not possible to make like regular cd's???
-
USE HI-SP 256k. i think its easy to tell the difference when converting from 192k mp3 in comparison to lp2 132k.
-
trust me just use lp2 it will be very close to what you want.
-
try to adjust the settings of your cd player in your computer. it sounds like the songs were imported incorrectly. i t happened to me 1 time. there might even be a setting in sonic stage for this. it takes longet to inport this way but as long as it works.
-
i have that deck. i like it. use 80 min disks all the time. you could try to clean the laser. i noticed a problem with mine. if th temp in the room goes over 100 degrees farenheit the unit does not record correctly. it also has a dirty eject switch- sometimes you have to tap on the unit to get the disk out.
-
i wonder what atrac 1.1 sounds like? i can tell by listening that version 4.5 does not sound as good as atrac type-r. if you use the analog in from a good quality deck output how does the recording sound compared to the original.
-
all decks and players will play md 80min disks.
-
dont buy a hi md unit if all you want to do us load disks quicker for your old md. the unit you have is nice. just get a the cheapest thing you can find and use that and do all your listening on your old one.
-
you cant stick with 192 mp3 if you listen on the md unit. it does not play mp3 only atrac files.use lp2 at 132 kbps. it will be fine...
-
a service center will charge you an arm and a leg. try different headphones or maybe you could hook it up to your hi-fi and try it that way. i had one it was my first md. it was awesome. its broke and gone now. i miss it...
-
can i erase a netmd recorded disc on my mz r500?
ATELETRONICS replied to two.tread's topic in Minidisc
no you need an old deck an old bookshelf or a net md unit hooked up to the pc. -
done even think of using lp4! i'm serious its sh*t. and sounds even worse. unless you are deaf or your headphones really suck! you will be sorry later...
