does XP home support 4gb ram like XP pro does?

Naa unless you actually want your comp in the living room i wouldnt bother with media centre edition. I've gone for the OEM XP pro. Ive never had to contact microsoft for support in the last three years and don;t plan to start now.

From what I can understand with OEM the licence is for 1 computer only, you cant transfer to another computer if you are upgrading. The second is that you dont get support from MS without paying money to them. Can someone tell me what this 'support' actually means and will I need it?? I mean I don;t think I'll have any problems installing XP, and in two years of using a computer ive never had to contact microsoft for support. If my computer crashes its normally fine after restarting etc. Should I bother with Retail XP?? Also, I am getting am building a pretty good computer, and don;t really want to have to upgrade for at least another three to four years (dual core etc) but from what I can see, XP proffessional is good if you are going to have the computer on a network, which I wont, theres greater security (i have norton, adaware etc on my comp so what more 'security' do i need??) and supports dual processors and hyperthreading. My AMD 3500 says with 'hyper transport technology' whatever that means. So can someone tell me please, OEM or Retail, Home or Pro? atrain, dex???

my hdd says its got sata/150 and sata/300 connections so I amassuming that the sataII hdd ive ordered will be fine.

I must say that the speed of the gif's is obviously a bit too fast. The animations are about half that speed, but im sure you all got that based on how quick i was pressing the buttons lol. *edit* added one more GIF and two comparison shots of the MC11EL and the MC40ELK.

Im getting paid again this friday so even if all my money's gone after buying the parts I;ll still have 700 dollars. Well not really because I still have to buy a screen, ms Office, and XP home My sister was going to buy a computer so that I wouldnt ever use hers for use with my dvd writers or for gaming or anything and she doesnt have the money for one right now so I thought I'd beat her to it and force her to use my computer or use the laptop ive been using instead which I think she'll do lol. Trade you your hot weather for my boss

I can;t believe that sorry excuse for a boss of mine!! Where I work, at a shop on weekends, I work at the till, and in front of the till customers walk into the store, and in front of the walkway is a stairway that leads upstairs to the second floor where we keep stock. Noew my boss doesnt take lunch breaks, what he does is, in true martyr spirit, he stands by the window and smokes cigarrettes and drinks coffee all day and generally does as little work as humanly possible. Well I have recently got into the habbit of making a cup of tea, leaving it on the ledge on the right of the stairway and whenever the shop checkout is deserted I hop up and have my tea, and when I see someone approaching the till, I head back down. (There is only one checkout in the store with 2 tills). Today he says 'I don;t think its good for the customers to see you having tea' etc etc, 'I think we'll stop that'. I meant WHAT THE FRICKING F***!! Hey why don't I just start smoking and not take lunches too? That way I can get a disgusting fat belly, get obese, bald and treat everyone like dirt too Thank goodness ive got another job for the week this summer, and wont have to go to that place for extra work, and will only be doing weekends. Heck if I can find a different weekend job I'll leave where I am now. The funny thing is, that the assistant manager woman, works as if she is part of the team. To the fat baosstard, he;s king tit and the rest of us are his b*ches. God I wish I could just go and key his car and bring him down a few notches. Then at the end of the day; In the staff room, we have those tea and coffee canisters, and whenever I have a tea or coffee, I make the 'boss' and the assistant manager one too. I don't bother to put the canisters exactly back against the wall, or wipe any extra water spilled by the kettle, heck it dries in half an hour, less. So then at the end of the day, he says Boss: 'i have this little problem greg, none of the other boys do this, but you ALWAYS Me: 'what? looks like we never use them?' Boss: 'No so that its tidy for when the district managers (his boss's) come to check the store out its not a mess' So basicly his job revolves around keeping the store tidy for his boss, and him keeping as happy as possible and just making his staff feel as worthless and under his thumb as possible. God damn. End of rant.

Just got home from work, am really in a bad mood about the useless loaferboss that doest nothing all day.
