wow you get a pay rise?...

new mother board? or is that still comming. i guess you'll be using that benq drive you've been shuffling around with?

Oh, and I'll be using it with my BenQ and my pioneer dvr-111 :lol:

Mobo:

ASUS SOCKET 939 A8N-SLI PREMIUM SOUND/LAN HT

lol, no pay rise. I've been saving since january and had about 1400 dollars. Im getting paid again this friday so even if all my money's gone after buying the parts I;ll still have 700 dollars. Well not really because I still have to buy a screen, ms Office, and XP home :wacko: My sister was going to buy a computer so that I wouldnt ever use hers for use with my dvd writers or for gaming or anything and she doesnt have the money for one right now so I thought I'd beat her to it and force her to use my computer or use the laptop ive been using instead which I think she'll do lol. Unless she'd rather spend 1000 dollars on a bland pre-built computer :o lol Evil arent i? lol

Just a ques, you know in windows when you click on a folder, and it takes a bit for the thumbnails to come up, is that because of the speed of the hard disk, or the computers prossessor/cpu/ram ?? Should I save up more and go with Sata or should a 7200rpm 160gb seagate do fine?

I don;t really need sata though because with 1 hdd inside, i wont be transfering files anywhere.

@stuge,

Yeah I was looking at the lower one of the antec cases, but someone reccomended thermaltake so I went for one of those instead.

vell changed my mind on the XFX graphics card and went for the Gainward 7900GT 256mb, also changed my mind about the PSU and getting a Seasonic instead.

Went to Wal-Mart and got more Sony Color Collection MDs. They are now $3 per 5-pack - down from $5, which was down from $10. The Sony Premium Gold MDs are now on sale for $5 per 5-pack.
