Where and how do you store your units?

My collection of minidisc units seems to be growing and I'm considering some sort of cabinet for them.

How do you store you units, in a draw, on a shelf, in a bag, on the cradle, in your jacket pocket, on the floor, next to your hi-fi, next to your PC?

i have something like these, fits eight mds in slipcase in each 'frame' & is 8x6 frames high. i got it for two dollars though at a second hand shop, it had come from a bead shop, where i've seen them used before lying on their backs. perhaps go & find a bead shop & see if they use similar perspex cases & see where they get them.

ive only got 2 md units and my hd5. the md units sit in their stands on the desk and the hd5 is just anywhere i take it out my pocket and set it down. I use a muji md acrylic thing to store my discs.

[The Rule]

Both of my Minidisc units have been in felt pouches tucked away in a drawer for about a year straight now.

My main devices are my iPods, which I keep on my computer desk on their docks.

I use little plastic bags to protect them from dust. Two are stored away in a cardboard, the other one is used regularly.

I place mine in the felt baggies on a shelf.

I keep my NZ-NH900 on it's charger stand next to my bed on a small table. My NH-600 is hooked up to the computer via USB for all my downloading etc. My NHF-800 is kept in the SONY felt pouch & stored in a safe place for when one of my other units fail. And my old trusty MZ-R500 resides with my younger brother who still to date has not used it once.

Mine stays in the case it came with... Unless whem I'm Chargeing it!

Then it stays next to the plug! lol

got two matching 700's

the blue 700 is used without batteries and stays at home next to the computer and usually connected to computer speakers for playback of sound and music (the computers sound is broken) or connect the computer cord for all necessary computer jobs, its also blue tacked to the table so it wouldn't plummet to the ground by accident, the blue player used to be the go everywhere player but since it had to be repaired several times replaced it with a matching player to give the original player softer duties to reduce the chance of further breakage

the silver 700 replaced the blue 700 in the "media" bag which never gets left at home, its kept in a thick fluffy beanie that was found among pigeon poo in a grotty bus interchange and kept inside a "media" bag (an old calico supermarket bag) containing all stuffing necessary for sound recording, computer storage or connecting it to a hifi for playback as well as spare discs, batteries, a ton of cords, a tape recording walkman and a digital camera

discs are kept near the computer stacked in various piles like full discs, empty discs, unfinished discs, 1gb discs, computer use discs, etc
