this is direct from T-Board almost verbatim; just so you know :P

to my pleasant surprise, something which i thought would arrive by next monday arrived when i came home from work.

6x5 pks of TDK fine (ca 2003) 80 min discs

IPB Image

but that's the start, here comes the main event!!

IPB Image

the RH1 in all it's glory!! didn't realize a Hi-MD blank was included :o

IPB Image

interesting battery door (much better than the ubiquitious Ni-CD(MH) flimsy battery door:

IPB Image

IPB Image

lovin that OLED!

IPB Image

aww, what a cute couple (and that EH1 is such a cougar, growing attraction to the 3rd gen RH1:P)

IPB Image

just a smidge thicker than the EH1 -- plus it has 4 tiny spongy bottoms; so that adds just a bit to the width in that pic

IPB Image

RH1 and EH1 w/ its corresponding remotes: (EH1 + 55ELK, RH1 + 40ELK)

IPB Image

Hi-MD and iPod... *cue Three's Company theme music*

IPB Image

i will try to get my further impressions on it in due time, but until then, enjoi the pics.

cheers!

Nice pictures. Thanks for taking the time to share them.

Good to see the RH1 population growing. But now you need a black iPod.

The 30 TDK discs plus the Hi-MD disc will keep you busy for a while.

Did the snazzy black MC55ELK remote come with your RH1 ? Mine came with a EL38.

- just saw the note about the RM-MC55ELK at T-board.

You're not missing much about that post. In short, it just stated that camille bought the black 55ELK from a seller on eBay and it didn't come stock with either his RH1 or EH1. The 55ELK comes with Sony's PCDPs.

"didn't realize a Hi-MD blank was included"

Hey, I didn't get one with mine, which I've had about a month. Maybe throwing in a blank H-MD was an afterthought?

Did you get a Japanese RH1? I recently read someone's post stating that Japanese units (like their silver RH1) don't come with a Hi-MD blank.

My Japanese RH1/B [sonyStyle Japan’s so-called black "limited" ed.) comes without a Hi-MD media. This is a standard practice in Japan.

My Japanese NH1 and NH3D also came without a 1GB MD. But, they did come with the extra USB short-cord. I guess it's somewhat of a trade-off. Does the Japanese RH1 also come with a long and short USB cord like the Japanese NH1/3D (or even the DH10P)?

The inclusion of the 35ELK is more valuable than a $7 disc for me, which is why I went for the JP version (considering that AC is selling them at the same price as US version). 35ELK + E931 > $7.

;) My MZ-RH1/B (JP) unit did come with the additional short length USB cable; but I was told that the standard silver edition comes without it.

Mine's black, sold in the UK. I wonder, did everyone get an optical cable? My manual has it down as an optional extra, but was included in the box.
