(an antenna pop-up)Minuses:-Only support 320x240 video. C'mon, when was the last time you find 320x240 video? Even podcasts are going at least 640x480.Wanna bet this is going to be Japan only? Big S rocks!!Sorry. Thanks for the photos. It seems as though they removed the clock that was on the NW-A800 series. This was a feature that I rarely used, but at times was handy. I definitely will take a look at this unit to compare it to the NW-A808. I miss the Noise Cancellation that can be found on the NW-S700 series, and like the fact the Sony included a dedicated switch for the Noise Cancellation on the NW-A910 series. 0 AntiPod
im impressed by this player cuz IMO it get better looks than A800 series. And i didnt expect much from sony's design after the S610 series. I hope sony will just take away the TV option since it would be useless outside of japan, and reduce the price, if sony does plan to sell it worldwide. 0 antiipod
this is a great player, 16GB, NC, battery, alright design, plus heaps more of stuff. but i do like the NW-A800/NWZ-A810 better for the design style, these japan only walkmans are really impressive
0 c0ldr0ses
The thing I see happening, (in my totally expert opinion), is Sony releasing some kind of clone model in the NA and EU, much like the sony NWZ, with basically the same features but maybe slightly different specs and capabilities. 0 Insane
I really hope they will see some sense soon and let people download music on to their walkman off i-Tunes! ArghWhich is never going to happen but hey its just a dream:)Anyways! I really like this design, it's simple and the screen is nice and big. It reminds me of the NW-HD5, just with a bigger screen, video playback and lower capacity! But what sony really needs to be focusing on is marketing their new walkman! Other wise we all know nobody is going to hear about it and it's going to be a failure!

Apple does not allow other media players to work with iTunes, it is not the other way around. If that was to happen the sales of the iPod would plummet. 0 Insane
Yes i understand that! But! You can download programmes that let you sync you walkman to itunes...so i don't see why sony wont just create a software to do that....and yes it probably against the law or its breaching the i-tunes crappy agreements! But seriously sony's connect store sucks! Before sony release this player they need to sort 3 things out!1- Marketing2- Bring sonic stage back but a re-defined version3- Pricing! (what was going on with the whole a808! £170 while the iPod 5th gen was the same price! and you got so much more except for poor battery life and crap headphone)

Connect in North America and Europe will be closing. The NWZ-A810 series is less than the NW-A800 series at the same capacity. Actually, the NWZ-A818 is selling for about £ 129.00.Many people have been complaining about SonicStage and have wanted something akin to drag-and-drop. If you really want SonicStage, I think you should move to Japan. As Japan is the only market that will have SonicStage for some time.As a person that does not watch TV that much, it seems that Sony has not been advertising the new players as much as it could. 0 Insane
Yeh I heard about the connect store being closed, and yes I would love to live in Japan close to my beloved sony There was adverts for the Walkman Video on the MTV channels but they were truely CRAP! It was like all cartoony...just EURGH!This reminds me of the new zunes aswell! They should also include blu-tooth like the zune but have no limit on the amount of plays, I know music companies would loose loads of music but hey! The consumers would go mad about them! 0 Ascariss
Ok so it's been a while, any news on when this goes on sale in Japan? Assuming the price of 47800 remains, it comes out to be around 389 Canadian dollars, which isn't bad for a 16 GB player, but I do hope if and when it goes on sale here it will be a tad cheaper. 0 bob123_
I think the SonyStyle Japan site said 15 November or something like that for the release in Japan. Does anyone know if this or something similar will be release worldwide?
0 Shinji Ikeda
I think the SonyStyle Japan site said 15 November or something like that for the release in Japan. Does anyone know if this or something similar will be release worldwide? With the difference between the NW and the NWZ series Walkmans the only difference is the use of SonicStage for the NW series. However, the NW-A910 series has OneSeg TV reception. Which include other features such as recording TV programs. It is possible for this model to be release in Other countries, but it can be suspected that the NWZ-A9x0 series will not have OneSeg and will be significantly cheaper. This would be consistent with Sony's pricing for the NW-A800 series and NWZ-A810 series. It seems that those outside of Japan will have to wait and see what products Sony has planned for other countries.

The price isn't bad for you (and possibly those from Europe, Aus and probably the rest of the world except US and HK) cos of the strong currency rates of CAD for the past months. I mean the CAD must have increased exchange rates with USD by some 15% for the last 2 months or so and still continuing.
