sony_man
Why do you call your iPod 15gb pointless? i just really really really dislike it. honest to god i wish i just got a minidisc player. when you get an ipod, you really have to invest a lot into it. for example, a list of things a user might need: remote (80$), dock (90), Case (24-100$), battery replacment (100$), scratch remover (65). u know.. the usual. oh and these prices are in canadian currency. aeriyn
But they sound really good. :wacky: I've invested a lot into MD also; you generally tend to invest in things that you are interested in. My friend Magaret has an iPod 10gb (old) that she never bought another thing for it. I mean, she uses it mainly as a USB data drive connected to her iBook to store bittorrent files on. :whatever: Although, if I were to buy an iPod... I'd spend even more money than what you have on it. ER-4Ps aren't cheap. If something that sounds better, is easier to use, is better tech than the iPod comes out, I'll probably get that instead. But currently for playback, iPod is hard to beat. Although... I believe I will stay with MD for now especially since I have so many blanks and other MD accessories.
skyther
Mwhahaha. Someone once hated iPods. Now that aformentioned someone is trying hard to replicate my portable rig. Team iPod + ER-4. :rasp:

londonlad
can someone with the uk model MZNH600 confirm that the 3 line remote works? or any remote that you have?
Tiesto
can someone with the uk model MZNH600 confirm that the 3 line remote works? or any remote that you have?I received this email from Audiocubes.com few days ago: "Hi Alejandro, The MC33EL will work with HiMD units but cannot display all information since it only has 1 line. Your best bet is to use the MC40EL (3 lines, designed for Hi-MD), or MC35EL which can also work with HiMD units. The general delivery time is about 7-12 days once you place your order. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions or comments, please let us know. Thank you. Kohn info@audiocubes.com" The MC40EL is an UNIVERSAL HiMD remote, so it must work just fine
mutant1345
WOW 7-12 days is a bit anooying to me....but im really impatient when it comes to ordering stuff ...has anyone seen if there is a rush delivery or anything along those lines when ordering from adiocubes before.... Christopher
Rush delivery would cost you much more. I will note that what you've ordered from Audiocubes is coming from Japan, so don't expect it to be there within a day or two..although they use EMS, so it shouldn't be any longer than 4-5 days. Chomik
Yes it does have the remote jack & ac power jack too,The s on the end of the 600 denotes the colour,In this case my model which is silver,Kris M.←In Europe we have got two models of this Hi-MD:1. NH600 with AC/DC adapter inptut, line/optical input (analog/digital 2in1), and a 4-pin (?)remote port. I've got this device in my pocket:)2. NH600D without AC, line/opti and remote inputsHowever in Poland, where I live NH600D i sold as NH600.. (I bought mine in the UK).. pretty funny, isn't it? artillery
Hi, I live in US and have a MZNH600D for which I snagged the 40ELK series remote for and it works great. All 3 lines of text show up, all buttons work, and the backlight works. I got mine from newegg.com for around 75 US dollars.
sonic_rage
damn, 75$ for a remote? i got my NH600D unit for 55$ and am using an old remote from my N10.i cant see why any remote wouldnt work with the NH600D, unless it's a remote with the FM feature. it physically cannot fit into the NH600D and all the other models that dont have the radio feature. Deanage
Just to remind everybody, the European version of mz-nh600, which has line-in, doesn't have any support for remote controller. It most certainly does, sorry to say. I'm using one right now. Can't remember the remote name but it's the FM radio one. Can only adjust volume and skip songs with it and it takes age for the player to recognise though. (and look up the remote number)
chriswyatt
I have a MZ-NH700 that I bought in the UK. Can I use an LCD remote with this one? I saw a Hi-MD remote on AudioCubes but was a little confused about whether it would work or not.

(and look up the remote number)Sorry for the late reply TLV. Also, kurisu, sorry if these photos are too big; this is the 1st time I've posted photos.!st photo shows the connection type. 2nd photo shows that the remote CAN be connected to the MZNH-600. 3rd photo shows what happens if you only push play and 4th photo shows that the volume display doesn't go away when you change the volume with the remote. Radio doesn't work and it takes about 20secs to start playing when you flick the "next song" switch to start it up. The Low Volta
how very strange... this (partly) contradicts what was said in some other posts (including the big remote-guide)but as the radio won't work, I guess it won't push ppl to getting an am/fm remote anyway...but still very interesting to see, thanks for your effort PCManiac
Deanage
It's my old remote from when I got a MZG-755 3 years ago. The radio sucks ass anyway; good luck getting a decent reception. You can use it in other countries though.
