yeah it's about time.. and u can fit more than 6 45 minute songs in lp4 mood cuz the total is 320 mins remember.. i don't understand what u mean by it won't let u you out with the last one.. but none the less even if the recording was based on capacity u'd should still get all on there cuz the md is rated at 177 MB and if each track is20 megs u could 8 45 mins tracks on there (20x8=160 mins less the 177 u'd still have 17 megs left)

try real player and the plug in that's listed to allow the NET MD to work with it or u can use simple burner with NERO..or u can use open MG which i'd assume came with ur unit n let's hope it don't give u the same prob as the SS

uhh 700 mah batteries..not to my choosing.. 2100mah is more like it ... that's a whole 1400 mah more...so purchasing 1 2100 mah is like havin 3 700mah batteries (700x3=2100) so ur having 3times battery durability with 1 battery :smile: i suggest u get the 2100mah i got 2 of my 700 mah ni cd batteries that came with my old units in my mouse now :grin: which consumes bout 100Mah...so it give me some bearable usage time...

i thought Jadeclaw cleared this thing up already NET MDs (unit limit) can hold a maximum of 255 tracks and 320 mins per 80 min disc at LP4 or 296 mins @ LP4 on a 74 mins disc n 240 mins @ LP4 on a 60 minute disc.. some math 320/5 =64 songs 269/5= 59 songs 240/5= 48 songs (bearing mind track pauses etc.. ) blah blah..blah.. it's not possible for NET MD to hold 600 5minute songs on 1 disc atleast :grin: try 2 maybe where u heard that they meant 2 discs son..cuz i mean 64*64=128 songs *5mins= 640 -600= 40 mins to spear.. if this doesn't make it clear i don't know what else will...

well it's possible :grin: if the tempo ( pitch) is like amped up by 10x+ ha ha

hmm....well i noticed there's no Statistics button.. ne who.. i checked it out..white n blue it looks nice..but only prob is that i spend most of my time here at nights...n i got a crt monitor with an antiglare screen...it works ok but constantly viewing the white i'm not sure..cuz sometimes even when i'm on Melyssa Ford's forum it bugs me... overall look is K okay .. love the icons and i hope with this we'll b getting better smilies...n most importantly.. speed Kurisu SPEED.. i mean for the whole day i've been on n off n at first i thought it was my connection but i guess not..it's the forums it was slow...let's hope the new look won't affect the speed.... but keep doing ur thing :cool:

auto shutoff????uhh i highly dout it's that.. that only works when the unit is idel for a period of 3 seconds when not connected to the adaptor n bout 3 mins when it is.... ne who i believe something might b up with ur disc.. maybe it's dirty or something..or even bent .. i doubt ne thing's wrong with the lens cuz u said that it recorded some tracks then stops in the mid of track 4.. if i were u i'd try leaning the unit in different angles or sides while recording n c if that does nething and if ur not using an ac adaptor try using 1 if possible

if ur recording using batteries r u sure nothing's wrong with them.. or if ur using ac adaptor r u sure it's not disconnecting every now n then?.. i doubt it's something to do with the unit n when it stops does it stop while recording or just b4 u start n when it stops recording does it read "rec err"?

well to answer that question i believe a test is necessary.. cuz it wouldn't b accurate to go by opinion altho i must say 2100MAH Ni Hm is alot of juice but i have no idea what energizers r rated at... but what i've gleaned from specifications is that dry cell batteries seem to always last longer than rechargables... oh n that Question i asked about the NH600 charging through usb might not even b possible seeing the unit can't recharge in the 1st place.. but i guess when the other units come out we can find out ...

since we're on the battery n charge topic .. those who got their NH600 can u recharge via usb the usb cable?

not exactly.. but at the same time i meant.. like when using certain devices like laptops, cell phones etc etc.. u can charge them while using them.. at the same time...but i'm not even sure if there's such a minidisc unit.. (i don't even know y i mentioned it but if there is could some1 verify)

well other options i doubt..cuz it seems like that's the only remote available as accessory from sony but u could check Ebay....if u don't c it on there by itself u could go the extra mile n buy the unit it comes with...if the price beats that u saw elsewhere for just the remote.. :cool:

2 magnetic heads n 2 optical pick ups sounds cumbersum but leaving it just as is n just making the disc capable of being inserted on both sides is very possible n just as with the double layer disc the drives that read them don't have lens both above n below..u still gotta turn the disc over to read the other side.. n about this blu ray VS MO ..that's no biggie... they could have 2 lens in the unit 1 for blu ray n 1 for mo n have 1 magnetic head capable of working with both..(i got that idea after seeing 2 different lens inside of a portable Sony DVD player with thr lens side by side don't know what's the reason but i it's obvious they serve different functions)

well yah i've been doing that since i was using cd players back in the day :smile: .. n true it's very economical.. ne who u wanted to know if they the Ni-Cd Batteries fail in time yes they do but the time they take to fail mostly depends on how u charge them.. according to the type u buy u'll c on the package a recommended # of charge n disscharge cycles it's capable of n they'll usually last a year or 2 then they fail gradually at holding the charge... n.... getting a model capable of charing batteries is always a plus bearing in mind u might b driving somewhere n ur batteries die n u got ur car adaptor on board u could charge ur batteries then n there n move on but it's no biggie when u gotta stop listening to ur music to charge so i'd suggest if ur gonna do get one get one that can simultaniously charge n play

Mutant 1345 that's a good question but seeing i don't have a HI MD unit yet could u like try it out n c if it works n let me know.. but i have a feeling it will work seeing that it's the same techonology..but i'm wondering if the real player thing just had to do with sony listing those former NET MD units to b identified on their program as portable devices.. cuz as u may know u other audio apps like Music Match Jukebox, Win Media Player n Winamp don't recognize the NET MDs... n speaking of which have ne one tried using other makes of NET MD with real player did it recognize the units n did successful transfers etc.....
