  1. Digiorno Pizza (sausage and pepperoni) with cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper!
  2. Your computer is completely under the system specifications needed to run Sonicstage properly.
  3. Have some personal experience with this you'd like to share with us?
  4. No, don't use the one from sony.jp unless you are in Japan, and you aren't as your IP seems to be an Australian one. Try the one at connect.com. Anyway, what version of Windows Media Player do you have? Try installing 10.
  5. Install Sonicstage 3.1 from connect.com.
  6. That's the right way to do it, bug, but you understand the point I was trying to make.
  7. Not necessarily. I believe that they sell @ 132kbps ATRAC3 because it's the most compatible with all ATRAC-type players released in the last half decade. How good anything sounds is in the ear of the beholder, anyways - unfortunately alot of people get sucked up into forums like hydrogenaudio, head-fi, etc and get insane over bitrates and put enjoyment second.
  8. Alright gentlemen, continue your discussion in PM's, it's railroading the thread. I'd definitely choose the NH900 over the NH1 in terms of functionality. The NH900 has superior battery life, no proprietary battery, better overall durability (are you seriously going to be rough with a magnesium device?), full RM-MC40ELK functionality (if you wanted it) and much, much more. It's the true live recording gem of the first generation units and carries just a bit more style than the lesser models. The NH1 is more for show in my opinion. Nonetheless though Freud, get the RH10 - it's better than both of these devices if you fully understand the differences between first and second generation Hi-MD.
  9. Well, what do you think of 256kbps ATRAC3plus? It's a damn good alternative to the old SP mode.
  10. Flexis, you really have to do your homework with Minidisc - it's been mentioned incessantly throughout the forums and even in the official RH10 thread that this unit would NOT be able to facilitate recording certain bitrates on the unit itself - only the full choice would be available via Sonicstage.
  11. The MDCF installer is only meant for people who absolutely need it in absolute offline scenarios, but even then it can fail because of other variables (operating system not up to date, directx, wmp, etc). I would never prescribe it for someone who does have an active internet connection - there's no point.
  12. Welcome. Use the DirectX updater in the downloads section. Additionally, run windows update.
  13. Welcome to the forums, #10,000th registered and confirmed user nbokor!!!! Wow, this truly is one of those days in my life that I will never forget- 10,000 users today. When I started in Feburary '04, there was about 2,000 members, and it had taken about a year for the forums to reach that mark - so effectively, since Feb '04, we've gained about 8000 members. I remember this place back when I started before I started to adminstrate it, and here, I'll show it to you: http://web.archive.org/web/20040205162623/...s.minidisc.org/ Hilarious! Now what about the logos and themes? Oh my, those have changed too. The one the webmaster had was a bit bland, but the very first logo for MDCF was: Being the hipster I am, I came onto the scene and made it a little more stylish. Unfortunately, that didn't last long as I had one of my friends make something that wasn't stolen from Sony art, and complimented the SubTrail theme that we carried for a long time. The Sosumi theme followed next, with a slight variation on the above logo: Unfortunately in December phpBB was no longer a suitable choice for the forums as employing such softwares was becoming counter-intuitive and caused massive downtime for most of the month. In January, the entire forums was converted to Invision, which you know of today. We went with the default theme for a while, but carried a familiar face: --------- So, in retrospect, I want to thank each and every one of you who have been there since my beginning through all that lag, and those of you who have been there before my time. To those of you who have joined here in my time as Administrator, I hope that things have been satisfactory and I truly appreciate your patronage. It was a difficult journey to reach this point, but I feel that we have truly accomplished great things with this forum, espesically in communication with "big brother". I look forward to future development (and madness) with MDCF. With the fall of the Minidisc T-Board and it's renaming to the Audio T-Station, the people have spoken their choice for where they wish to primarily discuss Minidisc, and to have this honor means alot to me - to have a niche in this world, to have that sort of impact. Thank you all.
  14. Happy birthday indeed, greenmachine! I think you're swell.
  15. Possibly. I'll try messing with the inf again later and see if I can get it working for you.
  16. I still don't have good information about what procedure should be followed when exchanging the unit. I will see if I can obtain more information asap.

  19. Thanks for the clarification, Qwakrz.
  20. Unfortunately, there is no external power attachment for this device, but you could craft something that could supply power to the 3v connection, like a small battery backup transformer or something of that sort..

I think it's well worth it if you use your MD alot, espesically in portable situations. What's your average MD use like, exactly?
  22. Welcome! Go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com and make sure you have all of your windows updates, and then install Sonicstage 3.1 from connect.com
  23. Codec packs can be uninstalled via Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. As for the uninstalling the driver, try reinstalling via the directions in the faq, and if that doesn't work, please post your system specs according to the rules.
