Yes, you upload it into Sonicstage and then use a program such as Marcnet's Hi-MD renderer or Sony's wav converter for this purpose. I would use Marcnet's utility.

Hi-LP may be good for that purpose - I actually haven't done much testing in this regard, but 48kbps may be even ideal as well. Try encoding a few tracks in 48kbps and beyond and see what you like.

Wow, now that is a phone! If you don't mind me asking, who is your provider and how much did you spend on that sucker? Additionally, tell me more about your setup. Do you have a big memory stick? Do you use the camcorder? Do you use Opera made for it? Was it worth the $? etc

I just joined up with Cingular and purchased a Motorola MPX220, a very intelligent smartphone with features such as miniSD compatibility [up to 1gb memorystick], bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel cam, and so much more. I'm really excited to step away from this horrible Sony Ericsson T610 I've been using for the last year and a half. Plus - I'm free from T-Mobile! Thank the heavens.

So, anyone ever take a peek around on what's adjustable with Sonicstage Registry settings? I've been looking around a few things, but before I continue with what I'm seeing I'd like to establish a base of people to assist with testing.

Sonicstage doesn't really irk me. The only thing that really bothers me these days is the transfer time - sometimes I need my music on the disc steadfast. I wonder if we can manipulate settings in the registry or something to that effect to increase burst/forward writing - like when you use Simple Burner 2 and it writes/converts two tracks at once. I know there are limitations to USB 1.1, but are we absolutely sure that it's at the maximum write speed the whole time?

Good question. I enjoy these types of comments because I want you guys to nitpick every aspect of the forums so we can all agree on the experience it delivers. I believe the reason why this occurs is because I have "Stop shouting in topic titles" on. This means all CAPS LOCK text will be automatically converted to a more proper case, but not necessarily correct formatting. So I suppose we have to ask ourselves, do we want topics with all caps, or topics with the first letter of each word capitalized?

Welcome.. For the #1 question, try Marcnet's utility. It's discussed within the Hi-MD forum [sticky]. For #3, do you have other programs running? Anti-virus, etc? Tell me more about your computer.

You definitely cannot use those discs in a Hi-MD unit.

SS 2.x does not have any problems under SP2.
