  1. Yes. Now uninstall via the directions in the NetMD faq and get back to me.
  2. I've merged your double posted topic with the original one you made. Please do not make two threads for one issue in the future.
  3. The only solution I could think of is buying a remote, perhaps backlit, for the unit to restore functionality. This is the first case of dead-LCD I've ever heard of any MD unit in my years of browsing MD forums, however.
  4. Tim, That is a really low mAh on the battery. I would suggest you scout for a battery with 1400mAh for better battery life. bargaining4all.com seems to have the cheapest gumsticks besides ebay at the moment.
  5. What headphones are you using, mate?
  6. It doesn't have a backlit remote. I promise. As for remotes, some are fully functional and some are not. I unfortunately do not know which are and aren't, so someone else might be able to help you.
  7. Can you answer my questions, though?
  8. You haven't even had it or used it for a full day and you're already questioning it? Why don't you try employing it first and then see what happens. Do you usually drop your electronics? Minidisc units are known for their robust strength and have the ability to be dropped a few times. I wouldn't recommend you go about doing such, but when I had my R700 it was no different, and the construction of that unit is almost exactly the same as the NH900. I dropped that unit many times and it never had any issues [hard asphalt, kitchen floor, etc]. Don't forget to get a higher capacity battery for longer battery life, by the by. p.s. Is this the way you usually act? Weeeirdo. :rasp:
  9. What did you convert them to before uploading? Hi-SP, -LP, etc. What version of Sonicstage are you using?
  10. Did you uninstall and reinstall via the directions in the NetMD faq?
  11. Welcome to the forums. Please uninstall via the directions in the NetMD faq, found within the NetMD forum.
  12. Welcome! When you did the registry bit, did you uninstall specifically via the directions in the NetMD faq [found within the NetMD forum]? You may also want to check your computer for viruses and spyware.
  13. I've never known the NH900 to have a metal back; it has always been known to have a plasticish back. Did you read any information on minidisc.org that stated otherwise? If so, please report the links here and I will be sure they are corrected. btw, the front is made of Aluminum.
  14. I would also check out the discussion we had a little while ago here: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=6862
  15. Are you sure that the only output is USB? There isn't a headphone output or anything of that sort? You won't be able to upload with USB.
  16. They are definitely different. You can see some of the differences here: http://minidisc.org/hi-md_faq.html#_q104 I have never used the technology, but I believe that they can hold atrac audio, pictures and perhaps other files, but I'm not so sure. YOu can see some, but not all of the MD-DATA devices here: http://www.minidisc.org/md_data_table.html
  17. Welcome to the forums. Where about in the world are you located?
  18. They make Minidisc blanks as well, and I would agree, stay away from them. I've had no problems with the Japanese ones, though.
  19. The all black model is also the "world" edition [ala teamdigital.net] and additionally the "World Traveler" JP [audiocubes.com] edition.
  20. HOLY CRAP, this is so weird. My friend just called me from a UMG concert tonight and said he roadied to one in Charleston beforehand [this concert!]! He kept telling me that I need to check out this band. I now have the chance to get to know this awesome band and experience what my friend did as well! You totally rock, mrsoul - please don't ever leave this community. This is totally weird shit.
  21. iPods cannot record any more than 8kbps, I believe.
  22. Have you tried Simple Burner 2?
  23. What's the maximum budget doll? Welcome to the forums, btw.
  24. I'd recommend the NH900 from datavis.com, it's only $239 there [be sure to get latest price]. Better functionality and you still have alot of money left for discs.
