Welcome to the forums, Sid. Anyway, this first batch of Hi-MD discs are definitely not the last we'll see. Everything we're seeing now is first generation bait to see if the format will even be a worthwhile endeavor, and I can assume that the direction Hi-MD is going is satisfactory so evolution in this sense is inevitable. If any of the old timers from 1992 and the original MD format could look at us now, they'd proverbially slap us for complaining about "bland" one gigabyte discs; compared to the similar looking 60 minute discs they had - which cost about 2-4x more than Hi-MD discs! :happy:

Hrm. Very interesting, I was unaware that the black NH900 was alive and well in the US. This is good news, because I believe my girlfriend was planning on shelling out a considerable sum for the Japanese NH900 for me for Christmas. Hey man, welcome back. Hope you like the new digs. :happy: First off, to use the latest version of SB, you have to use Sonicstage 2.#. What version of Sonicstage are you using? If you're using the old 1.5, then that's what you should upgrade.. btw, SB 2 compared to 1 is pretty much nil, maybe a few bugs were fixed but it's pretty much for Hi-MD compatibility.

Yes, you should upgrade, and no, Sony doesn't require you to uninstall. It should upgrade automatically if you're using the installer at connect.com. Additionally, if you have any tracks in *.omg/a or whatnot, back them up to be safe.
