Does anyone have the Xitel DG MD Port - CD ROM/manual?
Christopher replied to Fernando Olmos's topic in Minidisc
..make sure that you go to the sound configuration within Windows and set it as the default. Transfer away after that! -
jadeclaw is not wrong in his statements. NetMD units such as this must convert all music files transferred to a Minidisc in ATRAC format.

Nice points. I hope that more people read this as people need to be aware of the SCO-type activity that the music industry has become. I could alleviate on this further but it's not even worth my time.

hahaha, I've seen blips of this on TV but I finally caught it thanks to your link. This is hilarious.. Thanks for posting in this forum, hopefully one day we can actually have an active off topic section. How's your day been, anyway? I'm unusually chipper.

Welcome..back I guess I should say. Odd question, but the first thing you'll notice is the output. The DS70 has a lower output than the DR410. It does however have an equalizer that's pretty extensive and should provide the exact sound you're looking for. Battery life on the DS70 is also better than the DR410 [with the help of the DS70's external AA cell case]. There's more here: http://minidisc.org/part_Sharp_MD-DS30+DS70.html http://minidisc.org/part_Sharp_IM-DR400+DR...R410+DR420.html It's not multilingual in this sense. It has support for those tracks if the titles are written that way. Indeed, it features the fish and the boat AFAIK. To be honest, the latest Sharp player [MD-DS55] would be the best Sharp MD player-only unit on the market today [asthetically, sound wise and in functionality]. Comparisons..a bit of a broad one at that. The real discernable differences between these units is battery life, asthetics, lack of EQ on DS5/DS8 [which I prefer] and a few other things. Refer to the equipment browser and then bounce back with any questions you may have. Audiocubes has it for 354.95AUD. You could always try Minidisc Australia. I don't know of any other places that would have it for less. AFAIK, no.

Have a Hi-MD question that doesn't need a thread? [part II]
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in Minidisc
Why does it matter?! -
Hello, and welcome to the forums. Were you drawing off battery power whilst recording or were you using an AA-adapter? You may want to try a different battery.

Slightly altered the asthetics of the topic and forum listing for a sharper look. I also replaced the quick reply with a somewhat more functional one that is better coded [for the most part].

Welcome. There is no check/in check out limitation with Sonicstage 2. I suggest you go to the NetMD faq [found in the NetMD forum] and uninstall via the directions it gives. Then install Sonicstage 2 from connect.com. Connect should be seamless. iTunes info is in the NetMD faq. Check out the Live Recording forum + soundprofessionals.com Define "cheap".

I can tell you right now that it will not preform as well as your Sharp. It may come close if you turn the volume all the way up, but the actual sound you hear won't be as "full". I would suggest you may want to try your hand at importing a NH900.. Welcome to the forums. You must realize we're on the doorstep of this new technology and it hasn't even started down the path of maturity. I would suggest if you do have qualms with the battery life and such of these units that maybe investing in the decreasing cost of higher-end MD [not Hi-MD] units would be a better route. Or you could just get a NH900 [which has an AA add-on pack]. http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=5121 -
So you installed Sonicstage 2 clean without a prior 1.5 installation? Was your Sonicstage 2 from connect.com?
-
You may also want to try eBay if you don't have any luck.

Welcome. Uninstall via the directions in the NetMD faq [found in the NetMD forum], and then install Sonicstage 2 from connect.com.

How to fix "wrong format error" when trying to get
Christopher replied to mr.java's topic in Software
How to properly reinstall NetMD: 1. Uninstall all OpenMG related software via the Add/Remove Programs control panel and reboot as necessary. This means, OpenMG 2.2, related 'Limited Patches' and the 'Secure Module', SonicStage, Simple Burner, and RealOne. Make sure that you unplug your unit. 2. If you run Windows XP, proceed to delete directories within 'Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSony Corporation' 'Program FilesCommon FilesSony Shared' 'Program FilesSony' relating to OpenMG. 3. Start -> Run -> regedit. The 'Registry Editor' utility should appear on your screen. Delete the references to OpenMG located under 'HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareSony Corporation' and 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareSony Corporation' by right-clicking on the entries. 4. Download the newest versions of the NetMD software* after disabling anti-virus software(s) that may consume a heavy amount of resources. Assure your windows is up to date, too [windowsupdate.microsoft.com]; this is espesically important for Windows 2000 users. After installation, start the software and plug in your unit - make sure you install the software first! * - Sonicstage 2 from connect.com. -
Err, my bad. I'm a little off my rocker today. http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?p...ighlight=#25656

Welcome. More info: http://minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-NF610.html You can use a microphone in conjunction with this unit, but with a little more luggage. Read this thread: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=5382 [try searching next time or just reading more posts in this forum, btw. Lots of discussion about such configurations]

Hello, and welcome to the forums. I suggest you may want to search around a little bit and/or look in the Live Recording forum. Here's a good topic to start with: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=4276

Yipes. Welcome to the forums, but please don't post in all caps again. It's considered shouting. Anyway, please read this: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=4171 ..and uninstall via the directions it gives [registry edits and all]. Then go to connect.com and install Sonicstage 2.

Very nice! Keep those pics coming. First off, welcome to the forums. This unit does indeed have a bump as it employs an AA battery.

In this sense, an automated bot would make topics [in a forum] based on new posts from the aforementioned sites. So would you guys want it? Feedback people, I need feedback.

I removed the MSN, YIM, AIM etc buttons from the topic listing page. It's all still available in the user's profile, so it seemed redundant to have it in each user's post. This trick has improved topic load time, as well.
