I use SonicStage but it is essentially Jukebox so it shouldnt be different. And I don't think what your saying has to do with LP2/LP4 recording but here is how to get it back... You go to OPTIONS--> Check In/Out--> Show/Hide Message (YOU HAVE TO CLICK THIS TO GET IT BACK)... If it already has a tick in it then i have not understood what you are saying and that means you need to explain it better

Well look at it this way... You will have a working MD soon

MZ-N505 Hack Failure...No available solutions works!Plz help

You'r all naughty... -
Well the bitrate has to be higher than 128kbits and at 44.1 Khz (no matter the bitrate). You can change the bitrate. First you would have to convert the file to WAV and then change it back to 128kbits MP3. You will need an MP3 encoder program like LAME. I use Creative's own program which does the job... cheers BerkY

I dont think it'll be readily available online...

Yes you can record from multiple sources with an MD such as line in, mic in and USB (with a NetMD). However, you wont be able to convert your ATRAC music files (MD can only play ATRAC coded music files) to MP3 that easily. There is no "official" upload feature in MDs. You will have to connect the MD from the line out to your soundcards line in and then record in real time and in analog. If your soundcard has a digital in you can record songs digitally. Then after recording them as WAV files you can then convert them to MP3s...

To be able to answer your question we have to decern what OPTICAL IN and OPTICAL OUT mean... OPTICAL IN basically means there is a 'digital in' into your minidisc. Thus, you can record music to your minidisc digitally. However it gets converted to analog before being recorded to the minidisc. Thats just the way it works. Its just digital when leaving the OPTICAL OUT. OPTICAL OUT means 'digital out'... It is an output jack that can digitally transfer music to any device connected to it via an optical cable. The jack you have on your minidisc is an OPT IN. Hence, it allows for music to be recorded to your minidisc. The jack at the back of the speaker system you have linked also has an OPT IN. So both have OPT IN... You cannot connect them digitally. You need a DIGITAL OUT/OPTICAL OUT to connect it to the OPTICAl IN/DIGITAL IN of the speaker system. However, you can do it via analog. Just plug the speaker cable to the MDs LINE OUT. Simple as that... However it will just be a waste of money... Why buy such a costy speaker system for a minidisc?!?!? Maybe for your soundcard (and it would only be worth it if it supports Dolby Digital 5.1)... Hope this has answered your question... Cheers BerkY

I dont like too many buttons on my minidisc. Makes it look untidy. the jog dial on the new sony's are excellent. Very useful. Also the sharp in the picture looks cool but its just too big... I like my models slim Is slim is gooooooood

Wouldnt it be simpler just to find a service center in NY? They would have all the screws you need right?
-
Well if the earphones work perfectly with other equipment then the only problem is the jack. And you might have to get it replaced. These tend to happen after a while if you fiddle too much with the jack or constantly change headphones. Ah well, looks like another repair job matey!

Though he will still need the driver and for that he will need the CD. I have the CD as I have an N910 but I cant post it anywhere... hmm... Without the drivers the MD wont be recognised. no matter what software you use, even sonicstage.
-
You are really pushing it as the NE-410 is cheap as it is. You definetely wont be able to find a new sony for a lower price compared the Ne-410's price. But used Sony's are still out there and you can take a look at those. Maybe you can score a cheapo N710 which has all the stuff u need. Though as others have said Sharp units are worth looking into... Why dont you check out sharp's site and see which models are available in your area...
-
I dont think you can adjust line levels while recording with sony. You can only do it with Sharp units. There are some pretty cool Sharp units out there with much better output too. Sharp DR-8 for example...

I dont think OpenMG or Sonicstage work with Windows Server 2003...

The MZ-N510 is an entry-level NetMD Recorder. A NetMD Recorder is basically both a "downloader" (ie from the PC, not MAC) and a recorder (ie with the supplied optical cable). You wont be able to record live without a powered mic. So you will have spend a decent amount on a powered microphone is recording live is really important for you. The N510 in the US also comes with a car kit but i am not sure about that. So you can even listen to it in your car... Funky eh Well hope you made up your mind about...

But Sony doesnt think just about you... It thinks about the masses. There are more portables out there then systems. And Sony might want that technology to be exclusive to portables ONLY. Anyway if portables have a battery, systems have a better, larger, infinite battery dont you think?
-
Have you tried emailing Sony?
-
I dont use scripts... so could you tell me step by step what to do
-
You can get a Sony MZ-N510 but that will need a new mic. a mic that is powered with a battery. To get around that you would need to buy a Sony MZ-N710 which is not all that. Btw what do you mean by cheap? Minidiscs are not really cheap equipment. Anyway besides the sony products there are Sharp models too which are quite good. You should take a look at their website and choose one according to your preferences. Sharp DR580 is a good model for example.

Well yea for me it is excellent. I had a crappy CD player which really annoyed me even walking on the street elt alone running... this is a fresh change. I havent seen it skip once... That for me excellent. Although it has been only 3 weeks since i have the N910, the g-protection is working flawlessly. (touch wood )

What do you want? The whole board just to answere your question? This is the THIRD time i think you are asking the same question... We answered before and told you to get Sharp units... Nuff said...
