  1. Try moving all of the tracks into the same folder/group on the HiMD before uploading. Then SonicStage should number them according to how they are arranged in the group.
  2. The MZ-1 has an optical output (the only portable that does), but you would only be able to get SP/MONO from it. Aside from that I don't recall anyone modifying any portable units with an optical output. The MDS-JE470 Deck (LP2/LP4 compatible) has been successfully modified to provide an optical output...
  3. IDE to USB 2.0 adapter. Now I have a use for all of these old drives!!!
  4. My RH10 has issues where the volume sometimes activates the search function. I seem to recall a couple of other RH10 folks with the same issue. Of all of the units I have owned I have experienced button problems with my N707, NH900 and RH10.
  5. That might be exactly the point.
  6. If I recall correctly the RH1 was tested and worked fine with the 40ELK remote, which has more than one line. I voted black too.
  7. Thanks fo all of the inquiries. Both stands are accounted for.
  8. Just found the Manual for the MZ-NHF800, so that would be included.
  9. Personally I enjoy the double punctuation... I usually use triple when it comes to periods though because I never know if I'm actually ending the thought... But the double punctuation I do enjoy, it makes this even just a tad different to look at. In a subtle way, but subtle is the best way.
  10. I stated this in another thread, but I have the CD-ROM for OpenMG Jukebox Version 2.2 sitting here, lol
  11. We americans spell Compact Disc with a C at the end. Floppy Disk with a K, Car with a C... MiniDisc with a C at the end too.. unless we are reps who don't know our companies products very well..
  12. Just a quick update. I plan to list these items on eBay this coming monday, so if anyone is interested contact me before then. I will link to the items on eBay when they are listed. Thanks,
  13. That may be a little difficult considering the external power supply is USB only afaik.
  14. For voice recordings, that unit may be sufficient. However quality-wise, you can record with HiMD in uncompressed PCM (i.e. WAV format), HiSP (256kbps), or HiLP (64kbps, probably okay for voice). You can then upload these recordings to PC. Plus HiMD has removeable media, which in my opinion is much better than being stuck with whatever HDD storage any mp3 player has. (I say mp3 player because aside from MiniDisc (which is a recorder) that is what just about evrything else is designed as.
  15. Just be sure to set a bitrate and do not transfer the WAV files "as-is", otherwise they may transfer as PCM.
  16. Hey all, I am wishing to sell my Sony JE470 MDLP deck (remote included). I was going to list this on eBay, but I figured I would give you guys here at the forums first dibs on it. This deck does not have an optical out, but it can fairly easily be added following the instructions here: http://www.mtsu.edu/~hhw2b/470mod.html Specs here: http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MDS-JE470.html The unit works great, I am asking $85 & shipping for it (feel free to make an offer). Payment to be made thru PayPal only. I would prefer to ship to the United States only. I am also selling my 1st gen Sony HiMD MZ-NHF800, and again would like to offer it here in the forums before listing on eBay. This unit is basically brand-new. I purchased it as a backup player/recorder for fear that the format was going to be discontinued. I have hardly used it. Included is the AM/FM radio remote and USB connector cable. Specs here: http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-NHF800.html I am asking $115 & shipping for the MZ-NHF800. Payment thru PayPal, and again I would like to ship to USA only. Feel free to check my feedback here in the forums and on eBay ( http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...erid=raintheory ). I will throw in 5 Standard MiniDiscs (various brands) for each item. PM if interested.
  17. In my opinion (since I am seeing some flaming about Mac OS), Windows and OSX really appeal to different crowds. So all in all it really depends on what you use computers for as to what OS would better suit your needs. Personally for music projects, graphic design, photography, and video editing (i work alot with these) I tend to prefer to use our Mac G5. I have tried these same tasks on WinXP (faster processor too) and found that for these projects the G5 is much more reliable and faster. Like I said, it all depends on what I am working on as to which OS I prefer. Personally I am way more familiar with Windows OS, and just within the past 2 years have been working with a Mac. But I will say that even with all of this in consideration, I trust the Mac more when it comes to working with Audio/Visual projects. For everything else windows works fine for me. I even do some Audio editing on Windows as well from time to time, but I always have a backup copy on our Mac.
  18. Okie dokie, I just checked to see what discs I had myself and I have SonicStage 3.0 on CD-ROM as well as OpenMG Jukebox v2.2, but I don't think that one would like HiMD too much, lol. -a
  19. Quick question... Was SonicStage 2.0 installed before you installed v3.4? If so, did you do a complete uninstall (registry entries, file folders, etc. not just add/remove) of SonicStage 2.0 before upgrading? I can totally understand wanting to stick with a version that works, however there are plenty of new features and upgraded features (no DRM restrictions!) in version 3.4 that would well be worth trying to get 3.4 to work on your system, especially if you upload recordings. That said, a complete uninstall/reinstall of v3.4 may well fix the problem, just be sure no antivirus, spyware, etc. type programs are running during install. You could always go back to 2.0 if this doesn't work. The problem could also be with the particular mp3 files themselves (you could use dbpoweramp to convert to wav first then import) or possibly with the HiMD disc itself. Have you tried different mp3 files and different discs? What OS are you using anyway? EDIT: I don't know of anywhere 2.3 would be available unless perhaps someone has a CD of it to send you.
  20. The problem may lie within the Mp3 decoder that SonicStage is using. Try this to check: Download dbPoweramp (free in downloads section here in the forums), and convert those Mp3 files to .WAV and import the WAV files into SonicStage and transfer. See if the problem is still there. The only other option I would recommed at this time is a complete uninstall/reinstall of SonicStage (uninstall via the instructions here: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=8071 ), which may resolve the problem. EDIT: Check this location to be sure that there aren't already .OMA files of the tracks you are trrying to transfer, if an .OMA version exists here, then SonicStage won't re-encode the files to transfer, it will just transfer what is there... C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\SonicStage\Packages\Optimized Files If there are already versions of the tracks in there that contain errors, these will be the files that SonicStage automatically transfers without any re-encoding. Also, do your MD models have linein/mic in? Do recordings made via line/mic have this same issue?
  21. Perhaps what he means is Mic High/Low sensitivity, and not manual/auto recording levels?
  22. What are the source files? Mp3? CD? Have you tried importing different files to see if they all show this same artifact?
  23. You must set the recording levels to "manual" first, then you are able to adjust levels on the fly. I don't believe you are able to adjust levels if recording levels are set to auto/agc.
  24. From what I have seen, the images without the remote port look like prototype/mock-up images. I can confirm that the North American version (NH600D) which lacks the line/optical input does in fact have the remote port. Perhaps someone with an NH600 which has the line/optical in can chime in to state if that model has the remote port as well.
