It had no tabs. I'll do the following. I will disconnect the laptop from the net, turn off firewall and AV, and shut down every redundant process. Then upload. And see what it does. If no improvement, then I'll get rid of it and buy two NH700s or three NH600 (no D-models)

Well, I just did a test, and it takes between 40 to 50% longer than real time. I tried with a 10-sec track, and it took around 14.5 secs to upload it. I disabled my antivirus, and only had firefox and Yahoo Messenger running at the same time on a 1.8 Ghz dual-core Centrino laptop with 1 GB of ram... 2X upload would have been dreamy. Ah... What a disappointment.

Actually, I am importing in Hi-SP and takes close to 15 percent longer than real time to upload. I would have been happy if it was 1.5 speed, but I can't upload faster than 80% of real time speed. Maybe by saving to wav it will avoid having to re-encode to HI-SP on the fly, which may be making it slower. I'll try both ways, so thanks for these, and any further replies. Wizard, my computer is a dual core Centrino laptop, with full USB 2.0 and no hub in between.

Topic says it all. I noticed sometimes it's close or even slower than real time playback. I am happy with the unit, but I was wondering if it's just my unit, the disc, or if it's normal for this model to upload that slow. Please let me know, as it may impact my decision of keeping the unit, or selling it and getting cheaper HI-MD units for my project.

Bought a lovely, mint RH1 from him. Ultra-speedy delivery, great communication and honesty. What else can you ask for? Thanks a lot for a great deal.

GFX, 4.2 is nowhere to be found. The link on the downloads section give me a 404 error. I had to use 4.3 on my XP computer. Anybody still have the full installer?

WAIT... That happened to my old SR60 as well. And that was because the head was misaligned. I managed to get into service mode and force it to auto align the reading head. Unfortunately, that was over four years ago, and the link that explained what did what is gone from the net.

Drat. Thanks, GFXR. Appreciated.

Kardon, he doesn't seem to be monitoring this thread anymore. He hasn't replied to my messages, either.

I want the RHI. I can now pay for it. Please reply.

Sweet holy hell. Is that a silver RH1? ME WANTS!
-
Me am interested in the RH1, claim dibs on it. How much?

Hi-MD Renderer may help too.

Well, my teeth can't play music... and I can manage to crush food using a couple of discs... But then the discs would get dirty, and I'd need to brush them. Dentist it is.

Sony's evil.

Damn the lack of money. I would buy this if not because I need to go to the dentist.

Sexy. Absolutely Sexy.

You could try looking for a 2-second silent MP3 and manually making a playlist that includes that track in between your tracks. (Tedious, yes.) The MD should pause when it detects silence and add a track mark.

Back at you, my man. Saint-like patience and dealings just as promised. Enjoy your discs.

Back at you. Thanks for your prompt payment. Hope your new MD units give you as much service as they gave me. Happy to deal with this member, folks. Happily recommended.

Glossy Minidiscs - labeling made EASY - finally!

Holy smokes. I am getting a sheet of these for me and my friend soon. Raja, the cherry red and lime green Victor MDs look incredible. Great job. -
All right, we need more info. First, if you used the included CD to install Sonicstage, you're using the old version. Get SS 4.3 What OS? The "imported my library to the software" doesn't sound too clear. If you mean you imported existing songs to SonicStage to build a library, then that's okay. Is the disc a blue Hi-MD, or one of the first generation black and red ones (those tend to die on people on a whim). How are you transferring data? Is SS open when you try to transfer data (documents and such) to the hi-Md as if it was a floppy using drag and drop? Can you take screen captures (printScrn and then paste on MSPaint, save as JPEG, then post here) so you can show us, step by step what you're doing? I suggest you first connect the unit, wait until it's recognized. Close any Explorer windows that open, THEN fire up SonicStage.

Some Jukebox programs can insert a pause in between songs. Jetaudio being one of them. Don't know if it will run on MacOs.
