No response. Guess he changed his mind, or found his unit.

Wouldn't it be cheaper or easier to send the discs to someone with an RH1, having him/her upload those files, burn you a CD (Either unrestricted .wav or un-drm OMA) and send them back? Unless they had been NetMd downloads from a PC, it should work just fine.

I have an R37, working with only one caveat, and discs. Interested?

Glossy Minidiscs - labeling made EASY - finally!

Sorry to bump this thread, mods. Can we have it stickied? -
Still available, folks!

Hello. I don't use this, and need the money. Working, with all you see in the pic. The RCM40ELK makes it a joy to use. Only one caveat: the "menu" button on the unit is either too sensitive, or too insensitive. You must find the "right" way to press it to access some functions. I'll set it up the way you want it before I ship it. Other than that, it's in good working order. Included 5 Hi-MD discs. Asking 170 USD plus shipping. Come on, the remote itself is worth more than 40 bucks! Serious buyers only, no time wasters. Will take Paypal, or Money order. Canada and Euro bidders welcome! SOLD! Thanks to jflaco1 for his business. May it serve you even better than it did to me!

What kind of "non-musical" files are these you talk about? What's your MD unit? You say they are not music, but you also mention you are going to use headphones. Can you give us more info?

himd superior but less compatible than regular md
Syrius replied to wouldvebought's topic in Minidisc
Portables can be taken out of the country, and into concerts, and generally are easier to move around and contribute to piracy with. Decks, being bigger and requiring house power to run, may have not been as much of a concern for the greedy, bloodthirsty satanic vampires known as the RIAA. -
There really shouldn't be any difference. Perhaps the quality of the materials makes for more durability (Had a couple of Fujis that literally started flaking off.) Other than that, it's just ones and zeroes like it was mentioned above, and the media shouldn't matter as long as the data is the same.

This is basically empowering agents to act as thieves. They like your computer? Fine. They can always confiscate it. (And don't be surprised if it ends "lost" and they keep it. Refuse? Guantanamo Bay. This is just plain bogus. Congratulations, president Bush. You have turned the USA exactly into what we hated the most: The Old, Corrupt Soviet Union.

FS: Sony MZ-R900 for parts/repair $10 USD + shipping
Syrius replied to mrsimontibbs's topic in Classifieds
Have you tested to see if the recorded discs do play on another unit? I might buy it if it's so. -
A short circuit and the pins in the remote pushed the ones in the jack into the right position?

Burn the nonbelievers! Buuuuuuuurrrnnnnnn!

They don't show up. Nor as phantom or as real. It's not a big deal. I can use my desktop and that uploads at 6X-ish. The laptop is just being stupid.
-
Yes, and yes, Avrin.
-
I tried and I cannot find any instance of the Phantom driver options.

This is why I suggested to turn the unit upside down. If the head was causing the whistling via friction, putting it upside down may separate it from whatever it was grinding against. Gravity is free, after all.
-
Agreed. If you're going to make the purchase, just go ahead and get a HI-MD as it has all the functions of Net MD and more.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Counterf...Trade_Agreement Yeop. I just wonder who'll be the brave agent who'll go over EVERY SINGLE LITTLE F-ING FILE ON A PERSON'S COMPUTER TO MAKE SURE IT'S LEGIT. Tell me something. What is going to keep me from putting all my potentially infringing music or movies inside of a compressed RAR folder, that has been password protected and its extension changed to something else, and buried deep within the bowels of windows (or even better, Linux), to make it look like an install folder? Seriously. Who'll be dumb enough to walk around an airport with a computer loaded with "Kung-Fu Panda 1080P reencode DIVX UltraWAREZ ~CRACKED~.torrent" right on their desktop? Bwa ha ha ha. I thumbeth my nose at thee, G8.
-
This will sound stupid, but have you tried putting the deck upside down?
-
For being units with mobile parts, many MD players and recorders are solidly built, and units well-taken care of have been working flawlessly for years.
-
And for the love of all that's holy AND unholy, don't touch those HMA files, or you run the risk of losing your recordings forever.

Canadian Border to Check iPods for Copyright Infringment
Syrius replied to Sonicalflair's topic in The Loft
Good. I want to see who's the brave agent who'll check all the 3000 plus songs on each Ipod? Who's going to pay for that? Can the tourism afford that? What if I can provide proof I do own those songs legally? Will they go through every single receipt? LOL, RIAA and MPAA.
