  1. palm pilots operate differently from the nh1 if im not mistaken how many times has this question popped up now?
  2. i wish i could, but no time to think of solutions or attempt them
  3. simply put, the rh10 is a definite improvement just because it has native support, but its size just isnt right
  4. no clue to sound quality, but it may just be the amps of the older generation mds because everybody tries to show off the best battery life, which means many manufacs tend to shove tiny amps into the md for example, my nh1 gets 5mw, and one day, i was trying to read the japanese manual for my ancient kenwood [not to much success, i only knew hiragana at the time] and found the power output to be a whopping 10mw, double the output of my nh1, and more than triple of sharp's portables
  5. if my memory serves me right, the USB cable only supplies the nh1 with 5.0 volts of power, while it requires 6.0 volts to charge in conclusion, the answer is no
  6. wow, those are some definite big problems have you dropped your nh1s? my nh1 survived a drop down the stairs that were carpeted phew mint condition
  7. wow, thats awesome, keep us updated guys
  8. wow, i guess the hi-md platform isnt just simply as great as it sounded a couple of months ago
  9. lol, dude you cant back them up like the other guy said , its just impossible anyways, so you probably made the right choice
  10. lol, i dunno why ipod? i know taht theres a like certain aura to it, but i personally like the MD aura better
  11. wow, 4 bucks? i have the panasonic gumstick at 1200 amh but thats it
  12. urrrrrrrrr i dunno, i got a VAIO so i really wouldnt know
  13. yuppers, shes right, i do believe that sony will eventually come out with some sort of hi-md hi-fi system, the question is simply when? and will it go mainstream enough to be obtained?

  15. i really don't see Sony ever getting along with Apple, thats just my idea but i guess it might just go through
  16. most of the hi-mds are basically readily available for purchas in select locations, but you'll have to go do some serious window to window shopping before finding exactly what you need if its high-end you're looking for in a md hint- new york tends to stock more of these, i should know, i live here
  17. the truth is that when you need to record, the hd just doesnt quite cut it. the reason being that most hd manufacs tend to lean toward beating the ipod in design and slickness while also staying in the same size ballpark. in the attempt to keep it lookin "fly", tend to negate the dry-battery case that is now so highly revered in the minidisc universe... it is also true that the hd has a larger capacity, but with minidisc, i still prefer to be able to go through several minidiscs and have a portable medium without tugging a "adapter" around with that presentation of yours hint: md looks much better, and remotes are better designed then almost any hd recorder's will be
  18. for the answer to aeriyn, the gumstick and li-ion batteries differ in voltage because of similar demands held to different points. the gumstick is high-capacity but low voltage while the li-ion tends to be low-capacity but high voltage
  19. wow, i guess i'm going to have a lot of stuff to do when i finally get my NH1, whooh if its sensitive to fingerprints, i better watch out, though it might look nice if theres a full fingerprint on the back...
  20. wow, i was originally planning to get the NH3d but in time i found that it shows up these days for like only $20 less then the NH1 so ill just go with that
