one thought is that ex71s have microphonics [i think thats what its called correct me if im wrong] and you will hear any interference with the wire if you're running, and have the around the neck design as opposed to the v-shape if tahts what you're asking

the panasonics are rumored to perform better than do the ex71s, as the ex71s are very bass-heavy and a bit "off". plus, ex71s have a tendency to break easily, something to consider
