That’s the only annoying thing with the MZ-NH1, you can’t add another battery onto it like most other MD's! :@.... With the connection that is on the bottom of the MZ-NH1, which plugs into the cradle, is there anyway Sony could make a battery pack for it? Or would another hole/plug have to be made to use the battery? If they were able to use the plug on the bottom of the NH1 then I don't see why they don't make 1 :@

Try this. I have an MZ-NH1, and it always connects, but different ways connect faster than others. Turn your pc on, and make all backgrounds apps etc have loaded, and that the pc isn’t using any cpu power any more. Then connect your MD to the USB port, wait a couple of seconds and then your MD folder should automatically pop up (this happens for me at least) if this does not work, go into My Computer and fins the next external drive. If it is there, then you can go into SS and then select the transfer column. If the MD doesn’t come up, above the Transfer column, there should be a drop down menu, where u can select, "make CD, or Hi-MD, select Hi-MD and it should then find your MD. If this does not work, get out of SS and disconnect your MD properly, be clicking STOP or CANCEL on the remote or unit, then unplugging the USB card, and try again. Hope this works for ya mate!

Is that something you would be able to plug into your MD to use in your car?

Yeh, I am using Firefox, and yes I can adjust my screen font size , but since a couple of people have noted this small prob, maybe consider enlarging it 2 points? Just letting you know, when I enlarge my font through Firefox, some of the scroll down menus don't fit when using the larger font size Some of the icons on the home page, which let users know about new posts in a particular forum I find a little strange, like the star, and the right angled line... :S

The only small issue i have with the new skin (Rooq...), is that maybe the text that everyone writes, and what we see in the threads is a little too small. Apart from that I love this new look, I recon it's awsome! Especially the "Fast Reply, Add Reply".... buttons there very snazzy!

Any one hear anything about Sony going to upgrade the Hi-MD's so that they can play native .mp3's? :S

kurisu, have you been able to find out how we know which of our Subscribed topics have had a new posts to it, if we haven’t asked for en e-mail notification? Like have the orange/white little box next to it? Is it just me, or do other people find it annoying that when you do go to Subscribed topics, there isn’t like the old boards had, a little image next to the threads that had had new posts to them?

I wouldn't buy a whole new unit, I have the default audio unit that came with my car. I would just love the ability to play my music on my MD through the car speakers. If there were something that would enable me to do this, then yes I would buy it.

And I am so glad you were able to have just a great day on the 9th of November as I did, as that is the date of my birthday :D When I get calls from people saying I have won something, or wether I would like my roof restored, I make up a really sad story to mad the people feel really bad, and it always works, they end up apologising and everything, so it all feels good

cmoubell, the reason why WMP doesn't support Sony's MD, is because Sony hasn't given anyone the right to use it's own shitty .oma format! I asked exactly the same question in the Microsoft forums, and this is the answer I received. “No. Sony doesn't want you to use WMP, thus you must use the software they supply.”

Why can't they have a firmware update for the MZ-NH1 :'(

I only every use SS to upload/transfer files from my PC to MD. I have both the .mp3 and .oma music files on my PC, so listen to all music through WMP. Any file I record on my MD, as soon as I have transferred it back to the PC, I use marcs fantastic tool to convert it to .mp3 SS never seems to 'trash' my recordings... :S

Does this card reader ONLY read Sony Memory sticks? or does it read other brands than Sony?

Are you saying that you should not completely drain the battery in the MZ-NH1 before charging it up again? So far, when I have gone to recharge my NH1, I have made sure that the unit itself has turned off, because the battery was too low. Is this a bad thing to do? :|

I am currently setting up a PayPal account, and have a question, where I can’t find the answer for on the PayPal web site. How do I get money into PayPal so that I am able to pay someone? Can it do a direct debit through my bank account, give them my credit card details and they take money from that? Basically, how do they get my money?
