no but the thing is the eject button looks like one from a cheap $29.99 cassete player how lame is that? why didn't they use the sleek and sexy slide eject button they had on previous models. even the other type of push eject would have been better than the one currently used. Also the track info is very important on the main unit, like already mentioned alot of people use the line out function. I mean i don't think it is that difficult to program the minidisc player to display the track info on the main unit at the least they can come up wih a firmware upgrade.

Are you kidding me, i know deep discharges are bad but did you know typical lithium-ion batteries can only be charged from 300 to 600 times. Meaning charge only when you need to. Another thing to mention is that lithium-ion batteries are 100% resistant to the memory effect. So to sum it up, the juice it provides doesnt change either its the 20th charge or the 100th. One thing to worry is the battery's actual life like how many times you can charge it. ok what my point is if you dont care it only holds 300 to 600 charges then charge it as often as you like and it won't have the memory effect.

lol A440 is right you wasted quite a bit of time on transfers. you know that you can directly use sonicstage to transfer songs from a cd to a md right? Oh and don't worry, most likely it just your TOC there is a trick to fix it, but i forgot it, go do a search here.

are you being sarcastic or you just want to know. I'll list them: no trackinfo on main unit thats a biggie, ugly protruding eject button without eject prevention like on previous models, and no external battery and a few more here and there.

Lithium batteries are very very touchy, ever heard of the exploding laptops by Dell? (the lithium batteries were faulty so they exploded) I would never ever put anything from ebay into my precious minidisc player. Think of it this way, would you rather go spend the money and not have to worry about your minidisc player or go buy a sketchy battery from ebay that is probably used or a knock off and ruin go your minidisc player. http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=32550

Today i had just put a back order on a RH1. I will be able to pick it up at the sony store on tuesday. I hope i made the right decision.... even put down a deposit. Have a gut feeling that the minor annoyances may become a big one. Need reassurance lol.

I wonder if you could just split the halves of the case take out the disc and replace with hi-md ones. That would be an easy solution, too bad after examining the md it seems difficult.

I would have to say these are the most beautiful md blanks i have ever seen in my life. I want them! p.s. although i have to admit the blanks from Daiso look just as good
-
I was wondering what the impedance rating on headphones mean, do i want a lower or higher number? Or maybe do i want to match the impedance with the md player's? Gets me confused when i see these different ratings on headphones.

What is gapless? Is a gap the short time between tracks where there is no sound?
-
XD, ive been waiting for that answer since the unit was released. Lets be wishful and hope Sony will give us a firmware upgrade, im sure its not too hard for them to do.
-
Yes I have read the review, but i was referring to the production model instead of the prototype. Maybe Sony could have added track title etc. feature to the main unit at the last minute.
-
Does the main unit support playback info?
-
Bump(Boost up my post, j/k) I can't take it anymore, are you having too much fun with it Kyle? I want to see the review!
-
Like the title says, but Dcoo 1.6 CS not Steam, becuase I don't have Steam. P.S. CS = Counter Strike Cheers
-
Now, now guys we must be patient, he is probably.......................where are the pictures!?!
-
Im also looking forward to the review. I really want to know the difference between prototype and final. Like if main unit displays playback info. Cheers
-
So does the main unit display track information? Big minus to me if it can't display track info.
-
Not that it matters much, but anyone know where the RH1 is made in? Btw, im starting to like the look more, especially when compared to ipods and such. Might convince myself enough to buy one, since im now tired of the PSP, MD is just superior in terms of music playback and recording. Just my 0.02.
-
I think the #2 box in the picture is also the next/previous song jog. If only they used a slide eject....
-
(to be relevant) Yes i agree SCMS and DRM is annoying. Not trying to sound negative. For some reason the RH1 looks something like the old-school D-250 Discman (anyone agree?). Shouldn't they make a different design, oh say a 5 line oled display. The eject button looks quite dissapointing to me, seems easy to accidently press it, and it just plain looks ugly on a md , looks like an eject button for portable cassette. Just my 2 cents

Ok so i found out the track length and it was 20 meters. My new time is 1.613 seconds to go 20 meters, the fastest recorded time that i know from my school was 0.8 seconds. The kid got his name put on the winner's trophy.
-
Has anybody here have ever made a Pitsco metric 500 drag car, that is powered by co2? If so what is your fastest time, on your own dragster. I built one for tech class. My time is 1.616 seconds, the track length i do not remember.

A dumb question but, which of the two pcm or atrac advanced lossless would sound better? Btw would AAL work on the PSP?
