We should really Yeah!!! I get to start a new sentence (lol, this story is so funny because it doesn't make any sense at all).

You know those 2 files on your md that you aren't supposed to delete when viewed via windows explorer, what if you delete it by accident? Do you like just format your disc and it will make those files again? i think sony should just hide them like they do with the tracks on the md.

The RH1 has the Digital HD Amp for sure, even though its not on the back of the unit. I wish they still do that, i thought that it looked so cool for the n10. damn i still want the n10 for some reason, it just looks so nice.

I read some here on this forum that there is slight difference between line out and max volume with no eq.
-
pcm and wav is the same thing. so if you recorded in pcm no it wouldn't be compressed or altered if you uploaded it.

i think he is, i love the boot screen on my RH1, it goes bright, then dim, then bright, then dim..... the red led flashing makes it so much cooler. Hehheh, this gives me an idea, im going to post a video of my RH1 booting. Yes, im very bored.

Kestrel you are getting it all wrong it has nothing to do with that. Think simple. The source is the same. So this means that this is a controlled comparison. So the only thing making the difference would be the minidisc player itself. So maybe your ears are more used to the sound of the amp on the R900 then the new amps. Which sounds better is your personal preference.

King Ghidora thats what he is doing now, and he thinks it is troublesome. I would suggest your friend use sonic stage 3.4, which is downloadable from this forum IIRC.

no need to sink people's boat. I thought that it was useful information.

Yeah, the thing is i did go to wiki before asking, and i didn't fully understand it. Layman's terms would be nice.

Sounds like a problem to me. Give Sony a ring. Or could it be the source file, or while you were recording it was shaken.
-
actually the RH1 is always charging until you unplug it. It fast charges it to about 80% then it starts its trickle charge cycle. Trickle charge doesn't stop. i personally take out the battery when i don't intend to charge it. li-ion batteries have only about 300 - 600 charge cycles in them.
-
omg, you have so many units already! i would buy it for a lesser price. since you already have 2 i don't think you really, really need a third one. i think i've seen a post somewhere here that said the RH1's digital HD amp is slightly different from the previous digital HD amps, some what more refined? I wouldn't really buy into that though, i think all minidisc players sounds better than an ipod, hehheh.
-
where did you get that? just curious. i thought its the same to charge from the computer or from the adapter, with my RH1 i use the adpater for consistency since my computer is always going on and off. As with doomlordis' question i think it has to do with the peak voltage detection method used in the charging mode. i really don't recommend that you charge your ni-mh batteries again after it has just been charged.

I think what hes getting at is that "is it really true that the rh1 can open by it self", maybe he wants to confirm it so in the future he can be more careful about it or maybe he is just plain curious. I think sony should really look into this, as the rh1 is the only one that i know of that has this weird design problem. the other minidisc players are unable to eject while operating. since we are at it, the should also allow title viewing on the unit, surely they can combine both screens to display titles.

Last time i brought up the question of what impedance meant when buying audio equipment and speakers/headphones, and i think i got the jyst of it, but it's time to ask the rest. When going over my sony catalouge of what to possibilly buy next i went across some terms i didn't understand, such as: THD (total harmonic distortion), SNR (signal to noise ratio). And remembered some terms from the past such as: Sensitivity and Impedance. All these technical terms boggle my mind! Would anybody be kind enough to help me on my quest of knowledge? Oh, and one more capacity! - Sparda

someone previously posted that try another remote before saying the mc40 is faulty....absolutely ingenious! try like a mc38el, anyways best of wishes.

it's not broken, you have to give it sometime to load up the buffer before moving. i tried turning it on while running and it skipped about 15 seconds later. then later on that day i tried turning it on while it wasn't receiving shock and then went for a run, it worked flawlessly.
-
lol, no one said they wanted to, but instead that its possible if you absolutely must eject it while its operating. Or did you mean how do you know you can eject it while its playing, you must have tried it? I have accidently opened it once or twice before.

well said jaylen see duancg how he understands what i mean by "contributing" more? i try my best not to go around and spam so i can rack up my post count, i try my best to post something that would be useful around here. having more post counts doesn't mean people will respect you more, its more about the quality then quantity. i really don't want to say this but if you dislike this forum then don't come back. you have also tried to sell something that was used more then just for "uploading". start posting more meaningful things and maybe people will take another look.

lol, jaylen you realy are bored.

I am one of thoses sonicstage moaners aswell, have you ever used the older versions of sonicstage? its was super restrictive to the extent that many owners didn't want to use md players any more. iirc you couldn't even delete tracks from the libary so you end up with many tracks that don't even exist on your computer anymore.

duancg, what right do you have to criticise the moderators? Even you said it yourself that you are not an active member, so why does it matter if this forum isn't to your liking? Maybe if you were more active or contributed more to the forum you would have a right to criticise the moderators. Even so the moderators cannot possibly keep everybody happy, one opinion of a member of the board does not represent the whole forum. That applies to me alos, if you don't like waht i say, hey its coming from me. You have the same privilages as every other member here on the board, excluding premium members. Meaning you are jsut as welcome as anybody else, everyone is treated the same, what you are doing now is drawing negative attention to yourself.

Lol, the RH10 has a whole crap load of problems, thats why i didn't buy it, if i remember correctly the old RH10's was missing alphabet letters too. I think it has to do with the membrane underneath the buttons.
