In my past experience, anything that sounds abnormal is because of the source. ex. I have this cd where I listen it through speakers and it sounds fine, but through my RH1 I can hear clicks and moderate distortion at 356kbps, I guess its because it is more defined?

Today I brought my RH1 along with me to school (no its not a horror story, don't worry) and upon turning it on, it wouldn't so i checked the hold button, what do you know, it was in the hold position, so i reversed the hold slide, but it still wouldn't turn on. By now im like, bugging out, because i thought maybe i broke it, but then i just remembered i forgot to put the battery back in . So i brought my md player to school today as heavy bling bling even though it was in my pocket the whole time. Maybe you could share your idiotic experience with us or you could just post a comment .

ok maybe im just slow in the head. after some research (why didn't i do this earlier) it comes with the silver RH10. The other ones comes with a remote color corresponding to the unit. so i can assume she had a silver RH10. whats the color they sell in North America? Silver?

Like i said, i really don't understand the purpose of showing the files if they are that important to proper playback operation. Just curious, are those the TOC files? Then that would make more sense to show it.

You mean to say you have never accessed the menu on your remote? I'm sure you would come across the SpeedCtrl if you entered the menu just once.

So the equalizer in all units have this issue (if you call it)? And the statement about the RH1 not needing equalizing is not true, in my opinion the equalizer changes the sound to your liking, adding more treble or bass, meaning its not like its saying the amp is bad because it needs equalizing. I hope that made sense, it was like a run-on sentence . But yes the RH1 sounds really nice even without equalizing. I really can't understand how some people can bear the crap "Digital MP3 Player(s)" puts out, rather listen to leaves rustling, which is quite soothing.

So it supresses out going interference and not in going interference? Because i wouldn't mind my RH1 showing its presence .

I think it is dead too, try cleaning the conenctions on the battery.

Do you guys know which unit comes with the silver remote? I was walking to school today and saw a girl with a silver remote, and thought i wonder where'd i get that. Is it with one of the RH10's?

I stand corrected so there are other units that are able to eject while playing. Well I guess the RH1 is just more prone to be accidently ejected. And yes the price of the LIP-4WM batteries are ridiculous.
