  1. .... I asked Audio Cubes why my order is taking so long. The response: "Your order was delayed because of the difference in billing and delivery address. However, we will have it processed ASAP." GRRRRR!!! Had I KNOWN that I would have had it shipped to my billing!! (At least they said they're working on it)
  2. There's a button you press that makes those two mic heads SHOOT out on tiny bungee strings called F.O.B.s (Fiber Optic Bungee), that then stick to any subject to up to 30feet away via the S.C.M.H.s (Suction Cup Mic Heads) for more accurate sound. Unfortunately this causes faster battery drain.
  3. The PCM-D1 article stated it takes a "removable Memory Stick Pro"... should that have read "removable Hi-MD disc"?? Oh, in my DREAMS. So let us introduce yet ANOTHER format... MSP (mem stick pro).
  4. ...all those great pics you took... and my eyes were on that Panasonic!!!
  5. And, while I'm on the topic, can anyone please let me know WHERE I can buy the LIGHT BLUE version? (I've even heard a rumor that there's a PINK one?)... but I like this LIGHT blue one, and EVERY on line shop I go to has the gray, or the DARK blue, or the white, but not this: CLICK HERE TO VIEW LIGHT BLUE And here's the red/pink version: CLICK HERE TO VIEW PINK Yes, please tell me where you saw that price, with link if it was on line. NO 'refurbished' models. Thanks.
  6. I'm wondering if anyone has one of these units. Reason I ask is I'm wondering if there is a difference in the legibility of the LCDS between the PSYC orange model, and the darker models. I know pics can be VERY deceiving, in fact, the orange model looks like it is BACKLIT, though I highly doubt that. Anyone? Bright, orange LCD: Dark, blue LCD: Any feedback would be appreciated - thanks!
  7. Interesting.... because Radioshack.com has ZERO minidisc products. You would think a corporate web site would have even more than your local store stock
  8. Only choices I see (and before I asked the question): DRIVERS PROGRAMS HiMD SERVICE MANUALS Net/MDLP SERVICE MANUALS ICONS ...so where do I go from there, I looked at all of them.
  9. um... can someone please direct ME to these backgrounds he's referring to??? Thx.
  10. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!! There isn't a face icon angry enough to show my frustration. Rub it in why don't you?!!!!
  11. You know, maybe this is because you ordered the SILVER one. You said you chose that color yes? Maybe the black unit is on... I tremble to say... "BACKORDER"
  12. I cannot say enough good things about the Sharp MD33s, "pole-4 canal phones", which only seem available at audiocubes.com, but at any rate, for about $50 (shipping included), they are the most incredible bang-for-the-buck phones I've heard in my LIFE. I even have an extra back-up pair I love them so much... and I use them with MY RH10. Fantastic-sounding... CRISP highs, and BASSY lows! Amazing. SHARP MD33s (at Audiocubes)
  13. I'd like to know what you mean by this statement... is it because metal gets dings & dents that can't be fixed easily and plastic can 'give' a little when dropped? Also, if you want to see your unit a year from now, here's a close estimate (my RH10 after MUCH MUCH use - I used it EVERY day and have had it since nearly it came out) You may notice I use a Palm Pilot screen protector to cover the OLED area... not very attractive in daylight, but worth the protection, and can't even be seen in lower lighting conditions. I also have a piece of electric tape protecting the ever-so-fragile battery door... not sure how the M100's door is, the RH10 uses a gumstick battery. As far as the face/finish goes, I'm rather surprised... I've been pretty rough with this unit (throw in pocket all the time, dropped before a little, still has that shiny surface and no real visible scratches on the FACE. The back and rounded edges are another story: Then there is the scratched up chrome top: I couldn't agree with you more, which is why I paid the extra 100 for the RH10. That display kicks butt. Another point I agree, which is why I think those crystal blue hi-md discs are so attractive (they are the newer released versions of hi-md discs). The long-box cases are so darn rediculous I threw them out right away. Enjoy the unit, I think you'll like it the more you rely on it.
  14. Order Date: Tuesday 04 October, 2005 STATUS: Pending
  15. To me there are two major distinctions: favorite band of ALL TIME versus favorite band TODAY. That make sense? I mean, a lot of us have that special group from when we were younger.. we'd die to meet them, saw their shows, etc... and later in life we're not really listening to them anymore, but still site them as our favorite band. Anyway. My favorite band of all time is Information Society. Current favorite band: Evanescence
  16. Sweet... and MAJOR off-topic, but CAN SOMEONE please tell me how to get EMAIL notifications of these threads!??!! I do the drop-down menu at the top of the thread, "subscribe to forum", I even try "track this topic"... none of them work...
  17. The 600D goes for about $85 average on ebay.. plus shipping. It's $94 on Amazon. Since money is an issue, I would really recommend The DH710... here on Amazon.com for $120 You certainly will love the space HiMD offers on a disc. For me the DH710 feels sturdier than the 600D, but that's just my opinion. I hope you join the MD world... it's not the POPULAR thing to do.. but it sure is the BEST thing
  18. um... yeah, came with my RH10, why are YOU asking?
  19. Ok... I'll be the brave soul to admit I'd like the Britney Spears... so let me know what you'd want for it.

    MD in my car

Sometimes every now and then it can get flakey, but for the most part it is reliable. Compare all the reviews on Amazon for all the FM transmitters, and you'll get a good idea.
  21. Sure, I'll sell you mine - PM me an offer.

An FM Transmitter is a device that basically transmits your portable device to a frequency on a radio nearby. Generally, they sound a tad muddy (kind of as if you heard you music FROM a radio station) but in your situation it may be your only choice). I did a lot of research & comparisons on these, and found ONE unit to be the best... the downside (for me) was that it is ONLY for the car, because it goes into your cigarette lighter socket. Just go to Amazon.com and type in FM Transmitter and you'll see choices. But this one from iRiver works best in my opinion.
