Thanks for sharing those nice pictures! I remember you requested for language setting instruction. Are you able to change the display setting to English? Again, thanks for taking the time to set up the pictorial. The brown scheme is indeed fabulous. *For future reference, it would be nice to keep the picture size to 640x480. Pictorial pinned.

That's odd; which version or rather where did you download SonicStage 3.2? Nonetheless, for your convenience, I have included a SonicStage 3.2 Japanese Area Code registry attachment. Download the attachment and double-click to add the entry to your registry. Then, run SonicStage 3.2 in Japanese using Microsoft AppLocale. Good luck and let me know how it goes. *file removed ~ please drop me a pm if needed

Brilliant! I am a MDR-SA5000 owner as well (recently replaced a three month old MDR-SA3000 with the MDR-SA5000) and I just love the way it present music - very clean, crisp and full of details - and of course its structure. Even though its frame is mostly made of metal, it's very lightweight and not a burden at all on my head. I look forward to your impressions and thanks for sharing the pictures. pictorial pinned

Where are you located? I have managed to locate the part number for CMT-SE9's Sony M-Crew bundled software. Perhaps you can contact your local Sony Parts & Accessories Center and acquire the CD-ROM accordingly. --> please review this thread for your local Sony Parts & Accessories Center contact info. For your reference, the CMT-SE9 Sony M-Crew CD-ROM Part # 424547601 or 424547611.

Yes, if you want to utilize the full capability of Hi-MD or NetMD.

The only alternative to SonicStage is BeatJam (*latest version only comes in Japanese; and BeatJam comes bundled with Sharp NetMD units), which utilize the same OpenMG Secure module. The only difference between the two software is its UI, otherwise it's the same. If you have SonicStage installed in your system, you can use Windows Media Player to playback ATRAC tunes; but remember only for playback. Note to all: For future reference, please heed atrain's advise - use the search engine and please read "pinned" threads in each section of the forum.

Did you follow the instruction to the letter? Please review the registry tree shown below and try again. In addition to the registry edit as outlined in the guide, please remember to run SonicStage 3.2 in Japanese with Microsoft AppLocale Utility. This is important - otherwise, Japanese characters will not display as it should.

Finally, the much publicized “PlayStation Spot” is now available for use in Japan – to be precise, on the sixth floor of Sony Building in Ginza, Tokyo. The “PlayStation Spot” is essentially a PSP kiosk where demo versions of PSP games can be downloaded for testing using the PSP’s “game sharing” function via wireless LAN. As of October 8, 2005, only PSP with firmware version 2.0 can utilize the “PlayStation Spot” and the kiosk can support up to eight PSP simultaneously. To complement its launch, PSP users can download demos of Ape Academy 2 LocoRoco Baito Hell 2000 Portable Resort Rockman Rockman . The “PlayStation Spot” is indeed a welcome addition to the PSP family. However, at this point, the kiosk is a Japan only addition. Perhaps, Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc will recognize the marketing potential of the “PlayStation Spot” and PSP users in the States would see the kiosk in person at SonyStyle stores or designated electronics related stores soon.

It's fine with the EH1 - the 3 line display for track information will work with any 1st generation units that comes bundled with the RM-MC40ELK.

Good tip, Richard. I was not aware that one needs to be in "Album" view to ensure gapless; my default setting was with "Album" view nonetheless.
-
I've never encounter gap problems with SonicStage 3.2. What sort of CD were you trying to convert tracks from? Is the CD an original press or one that you've compiled from Mp3s?

Approximately 12,000yen a few years ago.

An interesting choice of verbiage: Nonetheless, interesting toy.

That's affirmative - the 3 line display for track information appears to work only with 1st generation units that has the RM-MC40ELK as default remote.

Please do not start another thread pertaining to MD future. There are existing threads about it; please discuss and share your thoughts if needed in this thread or read the main "Hi-MD, Bye-MD?" thread in the news section. Thread closed.

Sony Hi-MD Walkman MZ-EH1 Pictorial
Ishiyoshi replied to Ishiyoshi's topic in Product Reviews/Pictorials
Overall, the EH1 is about 20% smaller than the NH1 - the NH1 is relatively wider and thicker than the EH1; whereas the EH1 is slightly taller than the NH1. If you are interested, please review my MZ-NH1 pictorial for a comparative picture between the NH1 and the EH1. The picture will provide you an idea as to how much smaller the EH1 is compared to the NH1. -

Answer to your query: the former - a standalone installer that can be used whenever you desire without further internet connection.

No, there are not limited edition discs, the new blue 1GB Hi-MD disc merely supersede the old version as the current regular release. I see you have found the blue 1GB Hi-MD disc pictorial; please continue discussion accordingly at that thread. For future reference, please utilize the search utility. Thread closed.

I am not certain, but I am sure there is one or at least it's programmable.
