Well, I'll be following it as well. Would love the West Indies, or England to win, but can't see it. Can't see further then Australia, but there are always shocks!
-
Do you prefer a AA or internal batteries for MD use?
GQ Smooth replied to Sparky191's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
Internal batteries for me, as the price for AA in London can be expensive, and you can always buy a back up battery. -
I have had mine for over a year. Still going strong, and for the price( cost me 25 pounds, but i think you can get them on Amazon for 16) are great value!

Apologies. I was just wondering if there was an easier way of changing the bitrate of my entire Library, without having to re-rip them. Wish to change to 192.
-
Is it possible to change the bit rates of tracks in SS, without having to reload?
-
Thanks for that

Hey Rayray, always thought about getting this album. I have Duke Booty as a MP3, is the rest good?

I have had a look around the site, but can't find anything relevant to my question. Two of my 1GB disc, when inserted into my RH1, show the following message:Audio File Error. Does this mean the disc is corrupt, and should be thrown away?
-
Alas. The look sturdy, but as you mention I wouldn't want to use them with my RH1
-
Kanako, sorry to hear that. I got mine from Amazon, but mine cost me 25 quid, and directly from Amazon, not a third party seller.

Firstly I'm not one of these people that think Ipods are crap. I have one myself, and I like being able to carry around all my music. BUT, I do have issues with the sound. The new Ipods sound better than earlier ones, but not as good as my RH1, (well at least to these ears) Why MD? The Sound quality, and the recording capacity, and the remote. Long live MD

I have a pair of these and think they are the LICK. I got mine from Amazon, have had them for 2 years, still going strong. Enjoy
-
What case have you got, as I'm trying to find a good one for my RH1.

Welcome to the Board. yes, finding shops that sell MD parts can be tricky, but thank Goodness for the internet. Ebay, Minidisco, and many similar sites should be able to meet your needs!

I haven't tried this, but I wouldn't be surprised. I have also noticed with SS that sometimes a track I have downloaded onto a disc, will sometimes have another track recored over it. I might just go back to using my CD player. More time consuming, but worth it.

I enjoyed reading this article. Reading some of the comments of this article, some truths were revealed. Mini disc WAS expensive for the average user like me (saying that a 30GB Ipod isn't cheap) but what I fail to understand is Sonic Stage. I don't think it's awful, but they could make alterations ( make play lists easier to use, make downloading tunes form the connect store competitive with Itunes 79p a track, to SS 99p) The biggest plus to me is being able to upload my vinyl collection that either isn't on CD, and can't be brought on Itunes. I too also miss not being able to swap discs with friends (even through i know you can do it on this lovely site)

Smokin Aces, which was OK.

Now if you upgrade to Noise cancelling Senns (PCX150/250/300) you will probably be totally amazed if you've never used noise cancelling phones before --but these have the external battery which can be a bit of a nuisance with wires etc. I have/still own a pair of these ( I think it's the 300) which whilst good, does, as you mentioned, keep getting tangled, plus I would have to remember to caary a spare AA battery. I've heard that the Shure E3c are good, but as this is out of my price range I settled for the cheaper version. When i win the lottery, I'll upgrade

I love these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-CX300-E...p;s=electronics I travel on the tube in London, and find these great.

No one should say they dislike anything in the top 40, otherwise you suddenly become old and sounding like your parents.

The Pursuit Of happyness, with Will Smith, and Deja Vu, with Denzel Washington.

I own a 30Gb Ipod, and a RH1, but mainly use my RH1 for listening pleasure. I ilke the ipod for having my ALL my music at my disposal, but don't like the sound. I like the sound of my RH1, plus the fact that it comes with a remote control( unlike the ipod, which use to. Now to make track/volume adjustment you have to show the whole world that you have an ipod) I don't think Sony should bother trying to compete with Apple. I think they should continue making the best sound playing removable hard disk units on the market, as, to my mind there will always be a demand. Sonic stage is a bit more work than itunes, but worth it
