How about people without a computer? Minidisc is really usefull then for optical or analog recording to discs! Well I know people without a computer is low now but its still true! Where would someone like that be with a MP3 player?

How about DBPoweramp? (In download section) Covert them to wav temparly, Inport the WAV files into sonicstage, convert to Hi-MD and then delete the WAV's.

I think the main reason for this is profet. 1. Other companies wouldn't make Hi-MD discs because they don't feel its in there intrest to. (Is Hi-MD got more popular the probably would). 2. Maby sony can't make them cheeper so they have to sell them for a prophet! (It would be nice if they did make them cheeper) But it still is the cheepest storage to price ratio around! The other minidisc have been around for a long time now (1992 ish) So the prices were bound to drop. But remember they arn't really that big!

Err when creating a MP3 cd the origional files need to be in the MP3 format otherwise it don't work.. I would like to get sonicstage to convert oma files to MP3's for cd usage.

I know there was a topic somewhere about how long a Hi-MD disc and the 60, 74, and 80min discs can hold atrac files at 352kbps... But I can't find the topic! The only hack for the MZ-NH1 is the volume hack for european modles! I don't think there will be any others avalable!

The only thing that is different are the 'clusters' of the internal disc. There is no physical difference of the disc that will affect the durability of them! There the same!

DRM was taken out of Sonic Stage 3.4 Yay sony! So you can transfer audio freely even on multipule computers!

You know what! This topic has been a waste of time! I have just found out that my laptop has a optical out anyway! That wasn't in the manual! Lol I just shuved my optical cable from my NH1 in there and a red light appeared at the other end! lol Well I ain't complaining! Thanks anyway! I just need the optical cable now!

I just miss the optical out of my brothers playstation 2 so much I need to get optical out since he got rid of his playstation!
