I doubt it, unless you are talking about himd.. i wouldnt know if thats the case. Ive tried to put the higher bit rate, 320kb/s atrac on my hd5 and of course, you cant. Is it just me, or are those other bit rates new?? theres now 160 and 192 atrac. I tried the 160 and that works, so any atrac file that's 256kb/s bit rate and lower will work. One new thing i noticed, you can copy cd's that are BMG copy controlled. CD's that have the copy control logo on back, and say the cd can only be played at its full quality, can be ripped using the new version. Before i got 3.3, i couldnt transfer the new cd i had bought, namely, Kokopelli, by kosheen. Now i can. hmm. You've also get the option to add copy protection, when you import the files, does this mean you could give an atrac file to someone with an atrac device?? I doubt it, but why else would it ask you if you wanted copy protection on your music? and then make you click that u accept that its illegal to etc etc??

Ripping in wma?? That may be cool, but there isnt much point to that if they havent brought out a frimware update for HD5 users..

I know I am being VERY picky here, but is there any possibility of a shot of the actual scratches, as minor as they are?? I dont have money for a new mdp right now, but the thought of the scratches might be holding some people back.

Onkyo FR-N9 Review and Pictorial

The speakers look like they have glass fibre woofers like on my cmt-se1. Is this the case?? Do you find this micro system can be a bass monster if you want it to be? I checked out the link, although i didnt get a translation using babelfish. Are the speakers 70 watts rms per channel? -
I would like to do a rock trade, but it would have to be rock that resembles the type of guitars, singing as with the following artists,: Led zeppelin, def leppard, ac/dc, fleetwood mac, u2. If you dont have any music like this, then any type of guitar except styles like; modern grunge, nirvana, sum41, blink 182 etc. If you have any interesting blank discs, all the better.(i dont have any very rare ones, nor would i wish to trade them if i did, pm me if interested, to disc options) I am in the uk, but dont mind trading anywhere in the world. I would prefer to trade with someone who has traded at least once before and has some sort of feedback from the person they traded with.

What do you look for in earbuds/headphones?
mercury_in_flames replied to WaywardTraveller's topic in 'phones
it can be foolish, but it might also be an option some dont have. If you want audio technica, you arent going to find those in europe, or in england at least, unless you do some serious hunting, and if you want grado (american?) then you are stumped there too, again, unless you do some serious hunting. Then theres the problem of not being able to try it with the set-up you actually OWN. You cant exactly take your md deck along with you, and trying to use headphones that require alot of power using only an mdr would also be foolish. You would end up needing to buy a CMOY or other battery box, just to try the phones out. I think theres also a health issue in europe with letting customers try out headphones. -

Well sound quality, You dont HAVE TO try before you buy. Loads of research can equate to the same result. I didnt try my ath-900's before i bought them, and i didnt regret it. I researched peoples opinions, on head fi, as well as audio t board. I look for , well looks, at first. Things i like in 'phones are durability, whether its the cable or parts in general, but comfort and sould rule over all other factors. -
well, what'll it be?

I take it the discs without their wrapping dont look much different to with>?

Sony MDS-JB980/s Pictorial-Review
mercury_in_flames replied to mercury_in_flames's topic in Product Reviews/Pictorials
Allow me to explain, , a himd deck is going to be used connected to a pc 'mostly' right?? Also, You can get PCM on himd. If you are copying that recording via optical, and then are able to upload those files as wav files, then you've got yourself a 'lean, mean, copying' machine , in the manufacturers eyes. -
KrazyIvan's MZ-R900 (Blue) Pictorial
mercury_in_flames replied to KrazyIvan's topic in Product Reviews/Pictorials
Glad you decided to keep it. Two different, yet similar units, I can also say that I love my r909 to bits, even if it does have a dent on the corner. It alot more valuble to me, than any money i could get for it. I;ve actually had to do a few 'operations' on mine to fix the odd thingy, as you might remember me posting pics of at 'the other' board. I keep my r909 at home now days though, my hd5 is in the 'hot seat' now
