  3. Can you use this firmware on a Australian model of the NW-A1000?
  4. By the look of the specs on Sony's HK site, Macs are still not supported.
  5. I have the non "street style" version of these-the DR-BT22iK and find these very good for listening to music on my iPod touch.
  6. Also, I'm guessing there will not be official support for Macs, even though recent models are drag and drop.
  7. Unfortunately, the Webbie camcorders won't be available in my country, which is Australia according to gizmodo.com.au.
  8. Well, it probably won't officially support Macs-like other Walkman models.
  9. The MZ-N510 is quite nice although note that there is no microphone jack (just a line in/optical jack and a USB port).
  10. I even sometimes use my MD recorders to record audio from a iPod touch (strange but I enjoy doing this)
  11. Japan and Australia don't have the Amazon MP3 store-so would another service replace that feature? Will it be MTP only or MTP/UMS?
  12. The Sony D-181 is a basic Discman model from 1998. This Discman model wasn't sold in the US-only in Europe/Asia/Australia. The design of the D-181 is typical of 1997-1998 Discman models with a display and buttons around the front which has some similarities to D-E301. It's finished in a classic Discman two-tone color-silver and black and has a good feel to it-even though it's constructed out of plastic. A small window on the top lets you see the CD spinning-a nice touch. There are thirteen controls on the D-181 and are:hold, play mode,AVLS,repeat/enter,previous,next,stop, play/pause,open. The D-181's display can show the track number/time elapsed, sound mode, playback mode, battery status and repeat. The D-181 has no ESP-so it's prone to skipping and is best to use the D-181 on a flat surface. AVLS (volume limiting) is present and its switch is on the botto-a very good design choice. Playback modes are:repeat, shuffle, intro PGM,RMS (program),1. Repeat playback mode is via the REPEAT/ENTER button, wheras the others are selected using PLAY MODE. Sound presets are: GRV MB (AMEGBASS) The first setting on the D-181 can be found on other models:eg D-E700 series and enhances the sound better than the MB (MEGA BASS) preset. MEGA BASS is present as well-only one stage. Sound quality is very nice-using MDR-24 headphones, the sound was reproduced quite well on GRV (Groove) Line-out Yes, the D-181 has a line-out jack at the rear Remotes No-there is no combo headphone/remote jack. 13. Sony D-181 Discman Aiwa HS-TA223 & Panasonic RQ-E25V cassette players-all 3 cost me $1 each.

    2007 PCDP?

No current models on SonyStyle.com are "PSYC"-we've probably seen the last of them (old models are listed, but you have to search for them).
  19. There are still several CD Walkman models available on SonyStyle.com as of October 2008: http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores...3&langId=-1 They are: D-NF340-high end model with MP3 playback and remote D-FJ041 -radio equipped model D-EJ017CK- similar to EJ011 but with accessories for in-car use D-EJ011 - entry level model, less than $50, does not play mp3 discs. All of the above were introduced in 2006. None support ATRAC playback.
