Amazon's used and new sellers and clearance sections are damaging to my wallet. Another good spot I've found for vinyl and high resolution formats is http://store.acousticsounds.com/

-The Mars Volta: 'Frances the Mute' -> absolute brilliance, best buy for this year...and their live show was even better!!

-Godspeed You Black Emperor!: 'Levez Vos Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven' -> was on my wishlist for a couple of years, but couldn't find a store that sold 'em... again brilliant (in a the-fast-show-annoying-teenager kind of way) springs to mind!

I just recently got these 2 discs myself. Very good, the both of them.

My most recent CD is "Beck - Guero" and "Death From Above 1979 - You're a woman, I'm a machine" then saw AFA 1979 play live... WOW.

Definitely one of the best...

They are quite a show if you've ever seen them live too.! smile.gif

You should check out some of their other albums if you get a chance. Also they have plenty of side projects that all have their own unique qualities..

I will definitely look for their other albums (but they are hard to find, like most gems tongue.gif)

if you like the kind of soundscapes GYBE! produces, you should check out:

- Explosions in the Sky: especially 'The Earth is not a Cold Dead Place' but also 'those who tell the truth shall die, those who tell the truth shall live forever'

- Mogwai: 'Young Team' and if you don't min some strange vocals 'Ten Rapid' and 'Rock action' and many more

- Tortoise: I don't know the title of any albums (copied them from a friend, forgot titles)

...

greetings, Volta
