No Connect Store with SS 3.4

Doesn't work in the US

I think it depends on the download link you used. I used the european link for my first install (on the laptop here), and the US link for my second install (computer upstairs). The laptop states that connect is not available in my country, while the PC upstairs goes right to the Connect Store.

Everytime I click on the Connect Store button in SS 3.4, I get a message saying that Connect Store is not available in your country. I wanted to use my Connect Card that came with my MZRH10. Is there some setting I need to change?

I had the same problem since I got the European program. After reinstalling the program a couple times I just went to the US site and redownloaded the one available there. That "fixed" the Connect Store problem.

The version I downloaded off this site asks me what country I live in, in the "A" group, whatever country I choose goes to that countries connect page. If I choose the "b" group, it doesn't even list my country, and wants my e-mail to tell me when it is available in my country.

Whay not just have a generic connect that lets you conduct business in your own currency???

In the U.S. of course. I downloaded the installer from this website. Apparently, the guy who posted it issued the Euro version instead of the U.S. version.

as for why not a single international store?

copywright is not the same worldwide & which branch of which record labels would collect royalties, distrubute to artists etc. too complicated

Of course this doesn't really matter if you just perform the registry hack again and make MDCF the default page again in 3.4 like we did in previous versions :lol:

You know that's funny, because I tried that hack when I first installed, but I keep getting an error screen that shows the connect logo, and says you must be connected to the internet.

This of course appears after about a half-second of showing the forums.

Same here! I see the forums for about 2 secs and then it tells me I need to be connected. Never had that happen before 3.4 :unsure:

Yeah I'm not sure why it's happening... I started another post regarding the issue here: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=14153&hl=

I have been trying numerous things, but as yet have been unsuccessful.. Hopefully we can get it figured out, I miss posting from within SonicStage. ;)

Please, whenever you post links to software, specify which version it is (U.S. or Euro). They are not the same. What version is the SS 3.3 in the downloads section posted? I need to make sure I have the U.S. version.

Well if you follow the link you will see as I tried to explain that the first post for the main SS3.4 topic contains links to versions for all regions. As has also been explained elsewhere the 3.3 version in the downloads is the Asia Pacific version.

try installing the connect addon from this thread then onto you asia pacific standalone. it's a sticky so you really should take a look at it in full before future threads are created.

please consider that people here are only trying to help & terse comments will only hinder your cause. if you need more help than you can get in a fan forum try emailing sony's customer support.
