raintheory
Might be $2, but check the shipping costs. It Probably evens up.
viiv
Might be $2, but check the shipping costs. It Probably evens up. Not really. Look at this one. $10 US with shipping. A bargain but is it fake?http://cgi.ebay.ca/New-Sony-RM-MC38EL-CD-M...1QQcmdZViewItem

I've bought them; all have worked. I've sold them and have been forced to sell mine cheaply, as the competitors' remotes cost much less. Tunster
I bought a RM-MC33EL off eBay from China for $27 USD for my N510 (wanted to relive it until the RH1 arrived). Not bad for £15. Definately authentic. But.... for some reason, eBay removed the item (as it was on Buy Now) just after I purchased it (and the user!). Very weird.Got it in the end anyway . keanejx
I bought a remote to add radio to my nh700 for a similar price. It works perfect and as far as I can tell is genuine. Edited June 25, 2006 by keanejx
Avrin
Are these genuine or after making fake Sony Memory Sticks and battaries have they figured out how to make fake remotes? It is much easier to make a working fake remote than to make a working fake MS. Sparky191
Bought a MC38EL from China aswell. Works perfectly. Cost me $0.99 plus postage. Was under €15 I can't remember exactly.
A440
I've also bought a cheap Ebay remote from China--MC38EL, if I remember right--that worked correctly and seemed entirely genuine. Sold it with my MZ-NH900. Sony has factories in China. My hunch--only a hunch--is that there's a certain amount of "inventory shrinkage" from those factories. poe
Sparky191 that was a joke in relation to recent news about Apples work force in China. Word got out that workers are working 15-16 hour days and paid only something like $50 dollars a month. All Apple said was that they were looking into it. I mean come on Apple doesn't reallize somethings wrong when they get Ipods produced at a really cheap price there, they knew something about it if it is true. Sparky191
Yes its beens posted everywhere. But I assume the vast majority of consumer items these days are produced in low cost countries. The distinction between Japanese made HiMD's and models made in other countries has been discussed before. Apple is not alone in doing it.
