Or, study hard, get a good job, grow older, be responsible, make pretty good money, and all your toy dreams will come true. You don't have to be rich. Fine if you want to, but don't be trapped. OR, have an idea, start a venture, make it work, or the next one, make pretty good money and all your toy dreams will come true.

Now as to veteran, I think unless you experienced the time when a minidisc outlasted your battery, you are not a veteran.

I'm 30.

I was going to wait for a new Palm organizer before I got into portable MP3 playback. After that I had planned to get a digital MP3 player (memory stick or something like that.)

I remember seeing MD's marketed as 'replacements for CD's' years ago -- but fell just short of buying them them.

After seeing a NetMD unit a month ago, I compared it to the average specs of digital MP3 players.

I went back the next day and bought the MD recorder.

I've been happy (exstatic, overjoyed, thrilled, etc.) ever since with my MD unit.

My unit: Sony MZ-N505

Nah im not a veteran really. Just love minidiscs coz no one had them, Loved them even more when they introduced MDLP, so kiss goodbye to tapes, but then again im going back into tapes, coz they r such collectors items here

Cost me i think it was about £250 for the R50 back then, and got it in the Sony Centre where usually i buy all my Sony items.

Gosh must have spent £0000 in there over 6-7 years lol

I agree too as im on my 3rd pair of EX-70's.

Lastest ones i have got imported from Japan is the SL version , with a short cord and a metre of extension too , gold as well.

Prolly the best headphones i thinks. And yes, they are very good with Bass.

i have many revies between the VX100's and the EX70's and the 100's have won every time.. but i think that a big factor might have been the price... the VX100's are $70AUD and the EX70's are i think $100AUD

They r bigger too , and u only get the 1 pair of ear adaptors , so if they dont fit ur inner ear , your buggered.

Also the Vx100 r a bit more sensitve 106dB vs the EX70s 100dB

Vx has more dynamic range 5-25000 vs the EX70 6-23000 but what the hell anyways ?

EX70 can handle more input 100mW vs the vx100 40mW so your unlikely to blow them

Prolly the Vx r cheaper , but i haven seen any of the Vx100 in the UK

The MD lasts longer than the battery on this one now!

Now I record on a Sharp Bookshelf unit and listen on Sony MZ-E75.

If you want better sounds get better headphones before stepping up to a new player. Try something from etymotic.
