  1. I'm hoping I'll get a response this time. I'm considering buying an S series Sony 8GB Mp3 player. My questions is does it have equalizers (bass and treble controls) and does it have a LINE OUT function in the menu settings? The BestBuy website isn't very specific on this. Thanks.
  2. It does have dynamic normalizer, but at the expense of sound quality. You can't adjust the equalizers in this mode. MP3gain. It's free to download. Google it and you can't go wrong.
  3. I'd say use it to play MP3 files, because you atleast have software that can normalize MP3 files. Not all CDs are recorded at the same volume, so if you do ATRAC recording, you can't normalize the files with any software. MP3gain is easy to use and it's great for normalizing all your MP3 files to the same volume level. If ATRACgain existed, then ATRAC recording would be preferred. Now if you could find an easy to use WAV normalizer, you could copy your CDs in WAV format then normalize with software, then covert to ATRAC. Other than that, you might find yourself changing the volume level on your unit between songs. I use MP3s and MP3gains because its the easiest way to record and normalize audio files.
  4. Pm'd you about the DH710
  5. Thanks Bob. God bless you and enjoy the unit!
  6. Our car has an aftermarket CD radio headunit, Sony CDX-S2010, and it has a removable face plate. The buttons on the face plate no longer function, nothing works. Sometimes the volume will go up by itself, and sometimes the face plate won't light up at all. So I'm not sure if the problem is in the headunit or it just the face plate malfunctioning. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks and God Bless you.
  7. Good luck with your ebay sale! Make sure none of the bidders are from countries that you are not shipping to. I've gotten people from South America or Asia sneak in a bid on some of my items. Hope you get alteast $300.
  8. I sold mine for $340 shipped to Canada on ebay. Mine included 5 new 1GB Hi-MD discs. And I agree, this should have sold by now. These units are not going to be free or cheap either.
  9. Put it on ebay, you'll get more. Start the bidding at $0.99 and run the auction for 7 days. Allow for Canadian and U.S. bidders to bid. Good luck!
  10. In great shape! The disc is clean like new, so is the booklet! This is not rental copy. $12 shipped. Thanks for looking.
  11. Great dealing with Bob again. He is a man of his word. Pays in cash through the mail. Enjoy the unit Bob.
  12. What does the MZ-NH900 come with? (accessories, Hi-MD discs, etc).
  13. I don't see the MZ-DH710 in the Minidisc.org info page. Is this a rare unit?
  14. I'd like pictures of the MZ-NH900 posted on this thread, so all can see what you're selling. Thanks.
  15. I did post pics of my N10 in the classifieds. I've seen other N10 units with different black logos on them and other don't have them at all. It's not a sticker, it's an embedded label. What it means and why it's there, i don't know.
  16. A new battery is hard to find and not easy to install. I haven't set a price. On ebay, one sold for over $100 and the seller said the battery charges OK, lasts for 60 minutes then needs to be recharged. Of course, it came with the AA battery case, original box and outdated SonicStage software. I don't think those missing items from my sale are going to push it's value way below $100.
  17. The battery plays for longer than 2 hours even when it has only 1 bar left At full charge (4 bars), it will play alot longer. I haven't used it that much. I just insert a disc with LP2 or LP4 audio and let it play on it's own and see how much battery power is left. Obviously, it does hold it's charge longer during normal playback. When transfering music from SonicStage to the unit, I can transfer about 6 hours of LP2 audio before the unit starts flashing LOW BATTERY. This doesn't mean the battery lasts for 6 hours while transferring, but the length of the audio being transfered is 6 hours. The battery isn't new, but it isn't dead either.
  18. The battery does charge and holds a charge. In fact, the owners manual says that if the unit has not been used for long periods of time, several charging/recharging cycles are needed to bring the battery back up to normal capacity. When I plug the battery in to charge, if it doesn't need a full charge, it will charge for 15 min according to the unit display. Sometimes it will charge for 65 min and that only charges the battery up to 80%. According to the owners manual, it needs to be left in the charger for an additional 3 hours after this for a full 100% charge.
  19. Yes, I bought it here in Southern California. Are you sure? I've seen other MZ-N10s with a different logo, and it's black like mine. This has to be from the factory, but I'm not sure what it stands for.
