Hi. I was just wondering which remote controls are compatible with the MZ-NH600D. This is a downloader unit only and you can't adjust the EQ setting without a remote. Any ideas? Thanks.

I think it's all plastic, because it is very light. It's the size of a minidisc case and probably two cases thick.

you can convert the MP3s to ATRAC3plus @ 256 or 352kbps. Try each one and see which you like best.

If you play these MP3s on an MZ-RH1, they will sound normal and they will not be crippled like on the RH10. That's one of the unique things about the RH1, MP3s sound great!

There's an RH1 on ebay, it's only the unit, no accessories or box. The seller doesn't know much about the unit and says he's not sure if it works. I think all the unit needs is a power source and a disc to test it out. But it does turn on and open. I might bid on it.

Just like the title says, i'm looking to purchase a simple minidisc recorder with ATRAC Type-R. Obviously the unit must have optical input. It can run on AA battery or it's own rechargeable battery (with power cord). Please let me know what you have. MZ-R500 or later model. Thanks.

I paid $25 for it. It came with all the accessories and original box, but no owners manual. This unit was purchased in Japan by the seller who sold it to me. She just didn't want it anymore. She also included 13 brand new (5 are rare) minidiscs. You can find good deals on craiglists on minidisc units by people who just want to get rid of them at a low price.

I just bought the MZ-E700 yesterday and I'm impressed with it's small size and sound quality (SP recordings). I think it's the smallest MD unit i've ever owned, and the rechargeable battery still works! This was a good deal. Now, I just need a simple MD unit with Type-R ATRAC recording.

So when will Sony stop producing all minidisc devices and blanks? I'm assuming eventually even the regular 74 or 80 minute discs will start to run short on supply.

So quick question, is Sony still making blank minidiscs or Hi-MD discs? Is anyone else making these besides Sony? When will all minidisc devices and blanks stop being produced?

Whether a unit has Type-S or not isn't a big deal to me. I prefer ATRAC SP recordings. The person who is selling the E700 says that it works and it comes with everything for a very low price. I was just wondering if the E700 is like the MZ-N505 which are really cheap on ebay and even on craigslist.

Ok cool, how much do you think they are worth (used and great working condition)?

Hello. I was just wondering if there is anything special or rare about the MZ-E700 unit. I know it's a player only and can playback SP, LP2 and LP4. I'm considering getting one but not sure if these units are reliable. Was this a Japanese model or for the U.S. also? Thanks.

I wish I had known about this before they posted it on ebay. I live about 20minutes from their location I could have tested it and gave them an offer. But from the picture the disc loads and it's blank. I emailed the guy and there are no accessories with the sale. Someone donated the unit to them.

Check your local craigslist for MD or Hi-MD units. Alot of people own these units and they don't know how much they really are worth or just want to make a quick sale. I bought an MZ-N10 for $20, and a Hi-MD unit for $50. It's a good place to buy a unit for cheap or to turn around and sell it for more. When you search, use different keywords: - minidisc - mini disc - minidisk - mini disk - Sony MD - Hi-MD - sony walkman

No Hi-MD discs. I just don't have any of those. $215 shipped.
