Hi. I'm looking for a black RM-MC38EL remote control for my NetMD unit. Pretty much the same black remote that comes with the MZ-RH1/M200. I've looked on ebay, but they have white and silver ones. They're also from Asia and take longer to arrive. They usually sell for less than $10 shipped, so if you have an extra one that works and looks good, please let me know. Thanks.

I've noticed on some MZ-N10 units, there's a symbol or logo above the "NetMD MZ-N10" label on the front of the units. Some don't have any symbols there. Do these mean anything?

Hey, thanks Stephen. I was able to adjust the treble controls. The factor settings for treble are 0, but now they can be increased to +3. Do you think these hidden features on my unit would make it sell higher on ebay?

Honestly, you will probably get more for it on ebay, only because you'll reach a larger number of potential bidders. Most buyers on this forum are looking for good deals, and probably don't want to spend too much. But those on ebay, are willing to pay more for rare items. But yeah, just curious, what's your asking price?

According to what Sony wrote in the leaflets about the battery, they will go dead after long periods of no use, but will charge up back to normal capacity after a few charging cycles. I really haven't used it too much, since I'm thinking of selling it for more later.

I got an MZ-N10 last month from a buyer on craigslist for $20. It came with all the necessary accessories and it works great. But I noticed on ebay some of these units have sold for over $100. Is this a rare/valuable unit?

I tried the reset feature before and it still in PROTECT mode. I gave the unit to someone who might be able to fix it, hopefully he knows which circuit needs to be replaced. But thanks anyway.

It was completely unplugged last night, and it's still not working. Whatever circuitry protects the unit, is what probably needs fixing or replacing. I don't know if it's worth paying someone to fix it, or just buy another one.

Thanks for the response. I had 4 speakers hooked up to only 2 outputs, connected in parallel, and that probably shorted something out. So I actually had 4 speakers putting out 100W each, when the unit can only deliver 50W to each speaker when connected properly. It's my fault.

I have a Sony STR-DE197 receiver. It is in PROTECT mode everytime I turn it on. I disconnected all the speakers and all the cables, and when I turn it on it is still in PROTECT mode. Is there anyway to get it out of PROTECT mode, without having to change some part inside. I wouldn't know how to do that. I tried to reset to factory settings but that didn't fix it. I just want to know if this is fixable before I throw it out and buy something else. Thanks.

Thank God, I got my hands on an MZ-N10 with a few necessary accessories, but no remote control. I know that the stock remote is the RM-MC35EKLU, but I was wondering if I could use a different one. Which remotes could I use with this unit? Thanks.

I was browsing through the Best Buy website and they only have 3 of the MP3 players that I'm interested in: 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB versions. I think these are the E and S series. My questions, do all these 3 MP3 players have the same sound quality when playing back music, or do they have different amplifiers? Thanks.
