Is that a Sony approved version of SonicStage. Is it reliable?
-
I ended up running the DELL system restore, so everything has been wiped and restored to factory settings. But I backed up my stuff on DVD. Before I install SS, where can I get SonicStage 4.0?
-
I changed the imported files location to "C:\SonicStage\Packages\" and it still doesn't import. The files clearly show a box with a triangle pointing to the left that it can be transfered, but it won't. I was able to play the files through the computer speakers. So far it won't import to: 1.) Default location 2.) C:\SonicStage 3.) C:\SonicStage\Packages\
-
Yes, the folder is there, I can add to it and delete from it. I reset it to the default location for imported files. I'm the "computer administrator" according the control panel.
-
C:\SonicStage....that's where files are to be imported.
-
I did that, and it still won't upload. I remember reading about other people having these problems with SS. I was really looking forward to recording some of my church sermons and record my son's little voice in digital stereo and archiving them on CD.
-
No, this is my personal home computer. I'm the administrator, i guess. I don't have to log in to my computer, I just boot it up and I use it. Where in SS do I see where the files are being uploaded to or how do I change them?
-
Thanks, but that didn't work either. I also tried removing SS 4.3 and installed SS 4.2. The RH1 plays back the recordings through the computer speakers when it's hooked up, but I don't have another Hi-MD unit to test it with. What are the chances that it's the unit that's having problems uploading and it's not SonicStage? I also don't have any other MD unit with microphone input.

I want to transfer recordings that I made using a microphone. In SS the recordings appear like squares+triangle pointing to the left, as if though they are transferable. But they don't transfer. I experienced the same as what the OP stated.
-
I'm having the same problem as the OP. I'm running Windows XP MCE, with SS 4.3 using an RH1 to upload recordings. How do I fix this?
-
Thanks for the info. I just remembered that the ebay seller was from Hong Kong, not sure if that is part of China or not.

I bought this (ecm-ds70p) kind of microphone on ebay from a china seller for less than $10 with free shipping. It works great! If it's a counterfeit or knock-off, I can't tell the difference. The right and left channels pick up sound clearly. It came inside a little silver bag that looks authentic with the "SONY" letters and the model number. The back of the microphone also says made in Japan, with the model number and the "SONY" letters. It also came with a little leather bag with the sony logo on it. It all looks legit and works great! I recorded my voice and played it back on my MZ-M200 and it sounds clear with good highs and lows. It does have one minor cosmetic defect and that may be the reason why Sony discarded it, but the defect does not in no way affect the performance of the microphone.

Buy the MZ-M200, it's identical to the RH1, but it comes with microphone.
-
Expect to pay close to $400 or more for a new MZ-M200. In a few years, $600 will be a good deal.
-
What do you mean by fine? Did it work as well as a factory Sony microphone that comes with the MZ-M200?
-
So has anyone compared the ECM-DS70P microphone that comes with the MZ-M200 with the microphone thats sold from China ebay sellers?
-
I've been thinking of buying one these microphones on ebay from a china seller. They sell them for $10 or less, with free shipping. They look genuine. Just wondering if anyone knows if these microphones actually work?
-
Excellent price. Brand new these are selling for around $400. As the supply dwindles, price goes up.
-
Not a single bid. Can you believe it? It's a perfectly working MZ-M200 with 13 new 1GB discs and it didn't sell. The starting price was $300. Brand new units sell for way over $300. Oh well.
-
I've got my MZ-M200 for sale on ebay at a starting price of $300. Mines comes with 13 new 1GB minidiscs and the basic accessories (remote, headphones, usb cable and AC power charger).

Considering Sony's reputation on marketing their own products, I too would be surprised if they started competiting on price. -

I'm sure prices will drop as Apple is releasing new iPods for less money. -
Sorry, I see no where in the owners manual or on the unit where it says, "Digital Megabass" as was available on legacy MD units.
-
A button that enhances BASS is the best feature. Why oh why it's not on the MZ-RH1 is beyond me.

I'm considering buying this new S-series walkman. I guess 16GB is good enough, assuming you're uploading music in 192kbps or less. I've got an MZ-M200 that I don't use very much. Might sell it as well. We'll see.
