Personnaly I use the plugin Replay Gain with my player, foobar2000. All my recordings are done in real time using my digital out (Creative X-Fi audio card). With that, I can have my Sony JB940 deck stuck on 0dB for every recording.

SP if the album is in 24bit-96kHz and close to 74 / 80 mn. LP2 if I can put 2 albums in one MD, specially in 16bit-44.1kHz quality. Real time recording only.

WMP, or better, Winamp or, my choice, foobar2000 have plugins. SS don't have one. And as so, you can have a better sound (Asio4all, Kernel Streaming audio ouput +/- DFX audio enhancer - more for MP3 this last one), put silence between tracks (Wincue, Post track silence) when you record in real time from your computer. The next step will be an audiophile internal or external sound card. More information here :

Maybe you forgot to choose the source on your MD deck : optical, coaxial or analog... Then you MUST format your standard MD blank Neige 80mn in Net-MD mode, not Hi-MD, if you record with the deck. Even the JE480 can format the disc, choose All Erase in the menu. If not, use the MZ-NH1 to change Hi-MD to Net-MD. If Windows 7 don't recognize your MD in Net-MD mode with Sonic Stage it is because you have the 64bits version. But as you have W7 pro, you could install Windows XP ! For more details - how to have your MZ-NH1 recognize in Net-MD mode, Stephen (sfbp) can help you.

Here in Vietnam, even the providers themselves propose to view for free most of recent movies in streaming. Still far from a real protection again piracy. My son is happy with that as he have 50 X-box 360 games, $1.2 each ! I don't buy myself any longer CD on the local market (cheap quality), the web is the only place where to find music in lossless quality. And as there is in Vietnam also MD blanks for $1.2 (but a few choice in color & brand) and a lot of MD units (except rare portable ones), I am not close to stop to use MD !

Juan22, as you live in Colombia, dowload this album (torrent file) and record it on a MD ! Unless it is unlawful in your country.

If you read all the designation without having in mind there were three differents time (MD time, Net-MD time and finally Hi-MD time), there is no sense at all. Recorder mean with an optical line in. During MD time : R recorder, E player During Net-MD time : N for Net-MD download and recorder, NE Net-MD download but no recorder During Hi-MD time : 1st & 2d generation :NH for Hi-MD download and recorder, EH Hi-MD player, DH for Hi-MD dowload, recorder & camera. 3rd : RH is specific of MZ-RH1 Hi-MD dowload and recorder, M Mac-Compatible Hi-MD recorders. For your main topic question, I don't have any 2d Hi-MD generation unit !
